Will be doing so on Monday, as a disabled retired deputy from Florida I can understand what he is going through down there. Hopefully he recovers quickly and can return to work soon. I remember when 2 Tampa officers were shot (1 in the leg) several years ago and it took a long time for full recovery of the leg wound.

Thanks to Shaun (MyTMerc), he brought a card to our meet this afternoon and all the CAM members that were present signed the card. Shaun also wrote a very nice letter offering our condolences and praying for a speedy recovery.
Thanks Shaun!!

As a fellow MM driver and fellow Law Enforcement Officer in the Tampa area, I wish Trooper McElderry a speedy and full recovery. We need tough Troopers like him on the streets. I supervise convicted felons in House Arrest in Tampa, and hated hearing that a fellow officer/MM driver was injured.
Get well soon Brandon!

My name is Brandon W. McElderry, State Trooper with the Florida Highway Patrol. As it sounds like many of you already know I was shot durring a traffic stop on 01-05-2005 in Tampa, Fl. To keep from borring anyone with the details I have been recovering well and a really bad guy will be spending a very long time in prison.
This is where the neat part comes in. Several days, after returning home from the hospital, a fellow trooper stops by my house to deliver my mail from the station. To somewhat of a suprise there were a bunch of letters from people that I have never known, letters from you all. My wife and I sat down and read each one of them very greatfull for the offerings of prayer and thanks and for the wishes of a speedy recovery.
As I continue to recover my wife and I are very thankfull for all of you, my fellow Marauder drivers. After the agency, that is investigating the shooting, was done with my undercover Marauder my Major made sure that it was brought to my home, where it will remain until I recover. WOW, talk about a great reason to recover quickly...
Thanks again
Trooper B.W. McElderry
Florida Highway Patrol
P.S. I am not really sure how to get this out to everyone, but if someone could pass this along I would be greatfull.

Welcome MP! :welcome:
I hope you stick around and soak up the family feeling around here. We have many other LEOs on the site, but I think you're the first lucky enough to drive a Marauder on duty. So... how does it compare to that CV you used to drive? ;)
Your recovery and comfort for your family have been in my prayers since news of this incident. Great to hear from you here, the power of prayer is awesome and this site is full of prayer warriors.
Take care and get yourself back out on those streets where brave folks like you and that Marauder belong!
Best wishes for a speedy recovery from the Southern Marauders......
