Hey Gang,
I have a deal brewing with a fellow MM.net member to obtain a Ford Lightning 90mm MAF.
Couple questions....
1. Will the 90mm MAF do any good on a Trilogy Marauder vs. the stock MAF or Pro-M one.
If so.....
2. Can the 90mm MAF be fitted to a K&N or JLT Intake?
Any honest thoughts would be appreciated. I'm learning fast with these cars...but MAF's are one area I know little about.
Appreciate any insight.
Mark...

Roots type Superchargers do respond very well when any flow restriction prior to the S/C is removed....But I don't know if the OEM MAF is a flow restriction on a Trilogy MM. I would check with Lidio as he has dynoed many Trilogy MMs with various mods.

I agree with Joe on that. You should call Lidio. I do understand why you posed the question here, and that you want to get as much insight as possible, and that's fine. However, Unfortunately I cannot answer that either since I've stayed with the factory stock intake and MAF for my Trilogized Marauder.

Ditto...What Joe said ^ there.
If you owned a centrifugal blower, we could discuss your options all day long. There are many ways to adjust/tweak power from a Vortech/ProCharger, because this design is very flexible in future growth.
Your Eaton/roots based blower, well...I just don't know. Talk to Lidio, he's very up to date on both.
IMHO at this time, and based on what I have read here, Ford Lightning 90mm MAF won't work for you. There are some aftermarket "Pro-M" options close to that spec that will work with the right tuning, so, again, call Lidio?

Good advice from all above.
I'll chime in by saying that I was considering the same idea. Lidio and I decided against it as there is little restriction from the 80mm size itself. The real key to better flow isn't the size of the meter at the measurement point, but the shape of the bell-mouth. Point in case is the 80mm Pro-M which nets you about 15 to 20 RWHP although it is the same size (80mm) as the stock maf. Some gain comes from losing the stock panel filter box, but most from the bell-mouth opening that smooths air flow and increases velocity.
Lidio might give you more specifics and work with you if you want to test the 90mm, but its not going to be your best move in that area.
