I've had a Steeda crank pully for some time now and in the end of August put on a Meziere Electric water pump.I put 3200 miles on it and my belt was at the end of the tentioner. My belt was snug but not tight. The belt that came in the kit (915K66PK2325) is a 91.5 inch belt. It's inch too long. I put on a Dayco Poly Cog belt # 5060905 which is 90.5 inch long & the belt tensioner in dead center where it should be.

I read your post several times and am still not sure what you are driving at...:dunno:
You still have a problem?
You HAD a problem, and now it's fixed?
You are giving advice?
You are seeking advice?
Anyway...as posted when the pump first became available:
If one installs a Meziere waterpump on the Marauder with stock pullies, use the OEM belt.
If one installs the Meziere pump with steeda pullies, you'll need a different belt.
Namely, a Goodyear Gatorback #4060915

I talked to him yesterday, and he had the problem, and I guess he fixed it by getting the new belt. Now its advice.

;) Barry their was 2 point's I was makeing , #1 When I ordered the Meziere Electric pump I told Dennis I had a steeda crank pully on their,The belt that came with it ( in the kit) was a 91.5 inch .Now the belt he sent me was ok at first but close the the end of the tention level. After only 3200 miles & 4 months it was no good. If you have a steeda crank pully the belt you should recieve is a 90.5 inch. I inch shorter ,which I didnt get, so I had to go out and purchase a new belt the correct lenght. This tread was posted for the members who have a steeda crank pully and order the Electric water pump so that they get the correct belt the first time so they can save some money by not having to buy a second belt. #2 Just giving some friendly advise to others to save them some money.

Barry their was 2 point's I was makeing .......
OK...so now we are getting to the point.
But still confused.
Did Dennis ship you the WRONG belt?
If not, and he shipped the belt I made mention of above, the one FOR u/d pully applications, the one I have in my hand...is it NOT the right belt?
I need to know, because I am selling my kit with THAT belt and advising members it will work with u/d pullies.

Barry, the gatorback you mention has 915 in the part number as in 91.5 inches, Cobra said 91.5 inches is too long.
That's my take.:hide:

That's my take.:hide: What Smokie said is correct. Dennis gave you a 4060915 belt .915 is 91.5 inches long. Dennis sent me a belt # 915K66PK2325 again the 915 is a 91.5 inch belt. Check where your belt tentioner is at. Mine was sitting on the end of the tentioner stopper. The belt is too long by 1 inch. I had the belt taken off it measured 91.5 inches long and I put on a Dayco Poly Cog # 5060905 belt. 905 = 90.5 inches long and now the belt tentioner is dead center where it is surpose to be. I hope this helps, if not PM me your phone # and I'll be happy to call you.

It's probably an oversight, call Dennis and get the belt that Fits correctly.I wish I could have those issues! Is the electric water pump not compatible with Barry's set up,or future plans to spray his car.If it was strictly a financial thing either or I opologizefor asking .looks like the gains from a shot of NOS will be substantially better gain than a maziere pump.

I also have a 915 belt with the tensioner all the way at the end, which came with the Meziere kit and I have the underpullies. How much did the new belt cost Zoltan? This sounds like a job for Carfixer (only a 3 minute job to switch but I thought I would give him the plug anyway!).
Anybody know which brand of belt is good or are they all the same, where to get?

FWIW, the belt in my kit was wrong, too. Easy fix - trip to Auto Quest produced the right belt and a happy Donny. I gave the wrong one to Scott for whatever purpose he may have for it.
I was just pleased to have the Meziere in and running (got my digital water temp gauge in that day, too), and the belt? Eh, ****it happens. Even Scott has ordered wrong parts, and he's the Wizard of All Things Ford. Not even worth the effort to send it back, imo.

So the belt that comes with the mezeire kit is not for underdrive pullies.Only for stock. Can't take it back to a store and say "hey i got the wrong size belt can i switch it"? :D

My 2 cents...
I have Steeda UDP (crank) & Meziere Pump. I used a Dayco #5060900 belt (90"). It fit great.

OK Dennis, You need to read your postings, ON 6-19-04 you posted a tread saying" Meziere Electric Water Pump Group Buy" You wrote Pumps with led $310 & free shipping. You also wrote "If you have a UDP I will include a new belt & the optional wiring & relay kit for $30." Which means WE payed for the belt. I'm not looking for you to pay me back for the belt I had to buy after 3200 miles ,all I want is that if you sell anymore kits with a belt that you double check that it is the correct size, thats all. The belt you sent in the kit works for a short time then it streaches and is no good. By the way you wrote you will see us on SAT.,If you go on Sat you will be the only one their, it's on Sunday.
