Member defyant turned us on to a really cool site in his thread HERE (http://www.mercurymarauder.net/forums/showthread.php?t=15269&highlight=merc). BTW: Thanks Dude!!!:bows:

The site has alot of really cool Marauder stuff and articles, and the webmaster, Nev, turned out to be a really cool guy as well.

He sent me the original scan of a MM ad from a magazine back in the day. Many of us have never seen this ad. The best Nev could provide to us was the original hi-res scan in jpg format as the ad is no longer available. Perhaps some day, we can identify what car magazine this ad was printed in, and get an original to re-scan for possible posters. We may even be able to have some of our more suave ford employee members here do the legwork to contact the advertising department at ford l/m and aquire the ORIGINAL artwork. With THAT artwork, posters could easily be made.

For the time being, I have a nice copy of the scanned artwork that I will email to anyone that requests it from me.

Note: The image below has been reduced to adhere to mm.net limitations. Don't copy this one, ask me for the BIG 2.8mb file.

That ad was in Hot Rod and Motor Trend, I know for sure.
My stuff is in storage right now, but if I can find it, I'll rescan it for the membership. It would make a great poster, if FMC will let us do it.....

Scan at atleast 400 dpi if your pc's processor will handle it. Tweak the color and sharpness, and HOOK US UP!

Barry if not mistaken that ad was also on in/on the IMOA book last year?

I'll have to check to make sure. I remember making a comment about the paint because of the issues I was having getting mine re-painted:)

Barry,

If you take the file on disc to a graphics house (they're also known as service bureaus), they can make a digital print from the file, as big as you want. In fact, there may be a Kinko's near you than can do it, though they may be limited in size. The only hitch may be if it is copyrighted.
