Happy New Year!!!

Now that we've settled in after the Holidays, it's time to get together again. We had a nice gathering in Auburn in Nov. Thanks to all that joined us. Haggis and Ladyhawke win the award for farthest traveled!

Paul T. Casey will be heading south the last weekend in January, so we should get together before that. I'd also suggest, as our NE Patriots head to the Superbowl again this year, that we meet on a Saturday so we don't interfere with our :cheer: !!!

Here are my suggestions:

Date: Saturday, Jan. 15 (MLK weekend) or Jan. 22

Location: Cracker Barrell in Wrentham for breakfast or lunch
http://www.crackerbarrel.com/trip-newstore.cfm?doc_id=953
(Exit 15 off Rte 495 - Wrentham Outlets next door)

or

Piccadilly Pub in Franklin for lunch
http://www.picpub.com/locations/index.htm
(Exit 17 off Rte 495 to Rte 140N)

I know Cracker Barrell has a large parking lot. I've only seen PicPub from the highway.

Spouses and Significant Others always welcome!! Please chime in and make plans to attend!!
I thought I would repost this so as to try to get more attention.
Is ANYONE interested in this?
I believe the general consensus was that we get together this Saturday so as not to interfere with the Pats game on Sunday or the New York get-together next weekend.
What are we doing?

Would you believe that after all this work on trying to make this thing happen, now I have to bail due to a family thing. :depress:
Hopefully the next one won't be too far off.
Have fun.

Actually, the following weekend would be the better of the two for us, so I have no problem in suggesting we do it next Saturday. Paul? Cooper? Same time and location on Sat., Jan. 22?

Good food and lively conversation with great folks always makes for a good time. The weather is looking pretty rough ot there. I hope EVERYONE got back home safely!

Sorry Cooper, I didn't introduce you to my wife Chris (Ladyhawke).

Yes that is right everyone...Chris and I drove to Boston for lunch. We left Maryland yesterday and stayed overnight at a hotel 3 miles from the NE Meet.

As we entered the Cracker Barrel everyone was waiting in line to be seated. Chris got the camera ready and we sneeked up behind Mary and Bob, I gave Mary a BIG hug from behind. As I shouted "SUPRISE" and let go Chris took the picture. Mary's expression is a classic, both Bob, Mary and Paul Casey were totally suprised. We will post the pic of Mary's reaction in a day or two, I forgot the camera card download thingy.

We are at a Hampton Hotel in Ridgefield Park, NJ. We also have some pics the the drive down I-95 through RI, CT and NY and will post them to. The roads are not two bad it is just the other idiots out driving in it.

It always good to meet old friends and to suprise the snot out of them, and to meet new ones. Chris and I hope everyone made it home safe through
the "Blizzard of the Century".

Too bad the NY Meet was canceled tomorrow....or it would have been "SUPRISE". Well tomorrow we finish our journey home.

Are we CRAZY....Naaaaahh.

Thanks Rick...we arrived home around 3pm no problems to report. Honestly it did get kinda hairy going through CT, NY and nothern Jersey. Stop at a Hotel in NJ to spend the night. This morning I-95 through North Jersey was fine then going past Newark airport it looked as though they did not even plow. major improvement to roads south of Philly on the NJTP. Then clear sailing from there to Home.

Glad the NE Meet wasn't cancelled or there would have went our surprise and you would have had two upset people on your hands. We had a back up plan if you guys had canceled. We were going to drive down to Mary and Bob's town and call them on the phone and tell them we were at the local store.

But it worked out for the best, now remember you are all more then welcome to make a surprise visit to a CAM Meet. The more the Merrier...:woohoo:

Thanks, Tallen, for the car pics. The people pics are in the Gallery.

I've never been to Medieval Manor before! http://www.medievalmanor.com/
Preference would be a Sat. 5pm show because of travel. Wonder how many we'd need for a private show on Sunday afternoon? Never mind - just found it - 90 min. Interesting note!: Groups greater than 12 must include men and women.

I still can't get over Chris and Gordon making the trip. You guys are alright in my book!!!!

I had a blast again, no surprise there. We are a great bunch of folks to hang out with. What I am impressed with, besides the the surprise visit from our CAM representatives, was that I finally had a clean car at one of these meets. The trip home was a little interesting, got to see the guard rail straight in front of the windshield a couple times. Made it back in one peice, that is good. Looking forward to the next one, when I get back. I'll post some more pictures in a day or so. Been a little busy moving the blizzard around lately.

Towards the end of my 8 years in New Hampshire "north of the notches", I was discussing the "long winters" and an old timer told me to "get one o' them insulated buckets and fill it full of snow. Then you take it and start heading south 'till you find somebody that don't know what it is you got in the bucket. When you find that person, buy the property next door to him!"
