Well, Tomorrow I head off from Yuma Arizona to Pensacola Florida. I think I will take it easy (realatively) and only do about 8 hours a day. I will be taking the I-10 all the way and I am curious if there are any of you along the 10 that might be able to give me any heads up as far as weather and road work is concerned.
Also, I would love to meet up with anyone along the way for a little share and compare!
thanks, curt

Well, I am here in Baton Rouge LA tonight. It has been an eventfull trip so far. I left Yuma on friday morning and stayed in El Paso Tx friday night. I had a buddy who just made this trip last week and got a tip to stay at a particular hotel next to a "gentlemans" club. OH MAN that was a good night...(newly single and lovin it!) anyways, the trip from there to San Antonio was relatively unremarkable other than the occasional fellow who was really jammin down the highway only to SLOW WAY DOWN when they came across me...ha funny how that happens. I got into a bit of cat and mouse play there with a Mustang GT, but at an introductory pace of 85mph it was more of a game of who could stomach the potential for a ticket more than a game of strength or otherwise. (neither of us would stay above 100 for more than a few seconds) but it was real fun.
I did notice that the octane rating of the "supreme" gasoline changed from 91 to 93 somewhere near san antonio. I also noticed a drop in mpg with that change too. The kitten got her claws out but I am not sure what the benefit was with regards to gas vs. milage.
To answer some questions, I have a Navy school in Pensacold for about a month starting on the 19th of january and then I will head back. I am eager to see the others in florida and maybe a road trip for Mardi Gras???
thanks all!
Curt
