Well ....

My "new" MM is safely tucked away into the garage having survived the "Sled Dog Trials" of January 2005.

After I dropped Barry off in Cleveland the trip was pretty tame. (weather wise) I did miss getting into a wreck when a Dodge pickup decided to tag the guardrail and turn itself up on its roof. I arrived just as the folks were crawling out of the wreck. Three other cars had stopped and they had cell phones so I opted not to get involved and kept rolling.

So I want to thank everyone for their support, well wishes, prayers etc. Especially Barry who did me right doing the copilot thing! Thanks bro !
(Tks Jessica for loaning him to me)

Also Paul and Erin fed me a great dinner while I was in Albuquerque. Got to swap MM stories and look at Paul's fine ride !

I do have some questions for folks.....

Warranty Issues

My 6 CD Changer doesn't work. I inspected the cable connections and they are all hooked up on both ends. I will let the dealer do the rest. Just wondered if this was common.

I have some "checking" on my paint. Probably due to contamination while the car sat so long. If anyone else had such a problem what strategy did you use to get it fixed?

My driver's side exhaust tip is about 1.5" shorter than the passenger. Actually I don't think the tip is shorter, it is mounted such that it doesn't entirely clear the rear bumper while the passenger side one does. Anyone seen such a thing?

Oh... I guess I better change my signature.....

Or make one..... let me go figure out how to do that.

Until then...

Warranty Issues

What warranty? You took it out of Vermont, right? Vermont law states that any car bought within the state once removed all warranties and guarantees are null and void.

...and your CD player is fine. The problem is it will only play CDs bought within Vt. It has something to do with how they "code" CDs, DVDs and VCR tapes that are sold in Vt. It has to do with the extreme Left politicians that run the state. (Socialist)

Did you know that back in the late '80s Vermont wanted to secede from the U.S. and become an independent republic. Fact no BS.

Haggis is right...I don't remember exactly when it was, but at one point around then Cape Cod wanted to secede from the rest of Massachusetts, too.

Az - Glad you trip was uneventful. As far as the trunk mounted CD player they are effected by cold weather. The have been known not to work with below freezing temperatures.

Welcome home...glad the trip was good.

Now the fun begins!

I'd have a dealer look at the paint...and the changer should be covered under warranty.

So have you still thought about coming out to the Scottsdale Pavillions? It was packed out there lastnight. They had the yellow taxi CV from the movie Taxi. It was awesome to see it in person. The owner was never around his car, so I didn't know who he was nor did I get to talk to him... Welcome back to Arizona.

Right now it will either be the last weekend of this month....inconjunction with the the Barrett-Jackson auction... or the SVTOA is going to be there the 19th of Feb. and I will go to that one. I am sure I will be there the last weekend of the month just not sure I will have the Marauder. Coming up with a buddy and going to the Barrett-Jackson on Friday. Their parking lot at the auction is a dirt field. I am not sure I want to drag the Panther thru that.

I gotcha. I'd like to bring out the LX Sport to the Pavillions. I want someone to park next to. haha. I'm sensing the Barret-Jackson is gonna be outrageous this year. Lotsa folks...
