:soap: Here is my story:

I have a limousine company in Minneapolis, MN.. Not a big company, I needed to get a new car this summer after my brother moved here and I sold him my 2001 TownCar. I really wanted a MM but I was not sure that customers would like it. When I took my wife to the dealership she said she hated it but when she looked at the sticker price on the TownCar she changed her tune. After I got my limo plates, limo tint, and limo permit it was time to make the payments. The first passenger I had in the MM was an investment banker from Smith Barney and I picked him up at the airport for a 5 hour hourly. We went downtown Minneapolis and after the second stop while he was getting in the car he said "what kind of a car is this?" I took a deep breath and answered his question to which he replied "I really like it" I told him I was glad and I just bought it and I was worried about what the customers would think and he said "whats not to like?" and I said well the wheels are big and flashy and did you see the dual exhaust? and he said "look, both of those things let everyone know that we are not 80 years old which is a good thing and the rest of the car looks like it means business which I'm here to do so again those are good things"
I could go on endlessly with all of the compliments it gets. I mainly drive poeple to and from the aiport and an every now and then have bar hopping customers. My Marauder is not streched and never will be (but poeple can drink in the back seat). I am very fortunate to be able to make a living by simply driving poeple in my LimoMerc. If I could not I'm affraid I would not even own it. This site is the 2nd best thing about having an MM.

Login, please don't mistake this as sollicitaion.

A Marauder taxi?

Is this a first here??

I wonder how many of your customers will look for a MM after a ride in your taxi err, I mean Marauder

A Marauder that's being used as a Limo, uh? I didn't realize that was the reason for your choice of username. But I think that's real cool.

Logan, I'm sorry about misspelling your name.

P.S., why does it say "junior member" under my name because I do not remember disclosing that information while signing up on this site.

Sounds like it should have a Minnesota personalized plate:

LIMOMRC

Which I can say...for certain (checked 01-16-05)...is not taken :D :D

If I was rich and traveling to the Mpls. airport...I'd want a ride in a Marauder and not a simple limo :D

It draws attention of the younger folks as well. My son asked to use the MM to chauffeur a friend and his girl to the Homecoming Dance at the local high school. The kids thought it was cool and asked lots of questions. I got a wash, wax and full tank of gas out of it. :D Seemed like a fair trade to me.

How about the backseat.I know when my kids drive mine and i'm in the back not to much leg room in the back.other than the looks do they say anything else concerning the car.

Well, I wish the rear door opening at the bottom was wider because poeple always have to lift their feet way up as they get in. I keep the passenger seat all the way forward so there is plenty of room once they get in and I like to keep my seat as far forward as I can for comfort reasons. I recently drove Minnesota Timerwolves Michael Olowokandi (7'-0", 275 lbs.) to the airport and he did not complain about the room and he really liked the car so I gave him a WOT and he was very impressed.

Novel idea:up:

I had put one in service in Phila about two years ago for a few weeks then one of the drivers just bought it:)

Now my friend just uses Grand Marquis.

Only down side I see is higher cost per mile vs a Grand Marquis...

However if you have to drive for a living then by all means the only way to go!

Best of luck with your venture"up" $$$$$
