I am interested in picking up a stud and girdle kit. I read an earlier thread that the Ford Racing stud kit is $39.95, Girdle $189.00. What have you other guys paid? Where? Who has the TA girdle kit? How much did you pay? Where to get it? Any other kits out there I do not know about?

Just for informational purposes, TA Performance actually makes the girdle for Ford Racing...the only difference is the name...

To replace the flimsy crap stamped metal cover Ford puts on. Oh yeah... and its shiny. :D

Under hard acceleration the caps that secure the differential are put under a heavy load. The differential tries to force itself past the caps and out the back of the rearend housing.
The heavy aluminum 'girdle'/cover has two preload bolts in the center that 'back-up' & support the caps.
The studs are a better way to clamp the caps into the rear end vs the OEM bolts.

Welcome newbie! I can't believe you were not dectected flying under the radar here.Thats a great product (girdle)and the engraving is way cool, but it is more necessary when you are putting a lot more than stock power through the driveline.Put some info in your signature so you can be properly attended to :location and such. more importantly, welcome to the Board!..............Haggis??cu e
