Was taking a swing through BlueOvalNews when I came across this

Cars - Crown Vic.
Ford Has Cancelled Option 13G (Moonroof) For The 2003 Crown Victoria And Grand Marquis.
No Article.
10 Feb 03. BON.

Considering the MM volume, if you were waiting for the moonroof to buy an MM, I think I'd stop holding my breath.

What is interesting is, I know from talking with a reliable source, there were a few Grand Marquis LSE with factory moonroof delivered to dealers in Canada. Now the moonroof is off the Canadian order guides as well

I don't know if this answers the Canadian delivery thing or not, but the guy who put my roof in told me that a good installer willing to live in Michigan could double his income because the factories use them a lot. Maybe the ones they shipped were just added on by an outside jobber. I know alot of "factory" convertibles are done this way (Toyota Solara's for example, though those cars in particular are not actually done very well, they have terrible cowl shake because the unibody is not adequately reinforced ... something our good old body-on-frame cars do NOT have to worry about!)

For what it's worth, I had the dealer do mine. An ASC 'roof was installed in my MM. The install was dynamite (many of my gearhead friends agree, one of which was a former installer himself).

If you want a 'roof, don't be afraid to go the aftermarket route. Now, if this snow would only go away, I could really start to enjoy mine!

I second that opinion. Check around, as long as the installer knows what he's doing, there won't be any problems. I love mine.

BTW, It's 60° here and sunny so I may have to leave work early.
