Kickplate Removed

I haven't seen anyone post about this before, but I just recently removed my kickplate for some more foot room. I'm quite pleased with it gone. I wear size 12 and was just finding my foot cramped, aswell as the KB deadpedal not having enough room. Once you pop it out the hardest thing it relocating the light. I zip tied it to one of the brackets out of the way. BTW do you loose or gain HP when you remove plastic??

FYI, you don't actually change any HP figures, you just reduce plastic parasitic loss

Thanks for the reminder. I have to get the plastic clips from the dealer .they did some work under there and replaced only one clip.so it's flapping around down there...

Covers up the stuff for the electric pedals, plus allows you easy access to the PCM, great if you have a chip. Asfar as how its there, as MarauderMark said, its held in place by plastic push pins, and just pops right out.

Oh wait your trying to get more HP by allowing better cooling of the PCM, just like a PC you'll be overclocking it next, adding cryocooling....:D

Actually i just asked a ricer, he said you'd probly net at least .2 of a second takin that plate out, if you really wanna get some extra seconds off your time, put "MARAUDER" across ur front windsheild and a bunch of big ol' manufacturer decals and you'll be set.

As for the original post: I took the panel off a few weeks after I bought the car in order to install my (now prehistoric) DR Diablo chip. I haven't put it back on yet. It just sits in my trunk underneath the spare. It really does allow for more foot movement... especially with my size 14's. My toes were always rubbing the bottom of the panel.

And about the Donald Duck thing: I have to defend my big-footed brother and be the first to vote "no". Besides, us young members have to stick together... old guys always ganging up...
