i've watched the video several times, can't get enough of it.

I play it my HP Media Center PC piped through a 36" Wega surround sound TV, cranked up loud enough to make the children run and hide. Oh yeah!

Metallica and BillyGMan smoking the tires off his Marauder... now that's the sound of war!

Keep this in mind while you're watching the video. That Marauder is his only car. That's not just some weekend toy/garage queen [like mine]. That car never gets a day off. Up and down the hills/highways in southern Connecticut every day. If that thing lets go, Billy's on the shoeleather express. It takes a lot of guts/confidence to do a video like that. I just can't stop watching it!!!:burnout:

Thanks everyone. I'm very glad that you like my video. And Tallboy is correct on that. That Marauder of mine is all that I have in the way of automobiles. And as those of you who have noticed how I put that disclaimer in the begining of the video, I did that for a very specific reason. You see alot of burnout videos on the net. Some of them are really good, and some of them are lame. Out of the ones that are good, I'm sure that some of them were done w/out artificial means of smoke production, while I'm also sure that some were done w/those things. Well I cannot speak for others who put videos together that you see in various places on the net, but I can speak for the video that I've done which Nathan, and now Mike have been good enough to put on the net, by stating, that I've never used bleach, oil, nor water on the asphalt, nor on the tires before or during ANY of my Marauder burnouts EVER. That would be fake, and cheap in my book.

I luv burnouts, and I'll fry the tires off my car again if anyone ever thinks that I've used any chemicals to do what I did in this video. And if the party in question doubts my claims, I'll do that for them live in person if they can be at an appropriate place for me to do that. But if anyone's going to call me on that, then they also better be prepared to cough up the $$ for the tires too. Okay, let me climb off of my soapbox now, and say to Mike a BIG THANKYOU for hosting my video. U DA MAN!!!!!! BTW, I went through two pair of brand new tires making this video, and a third set, that were used. For those of you who haven't seen the pics of what was left of the first set of brand new tires after that first burnout in the video that I've posted in other threads, then there they are below.

How have you missed it? All you have to do is use the link that Mike provided to get to his website, and you'll see the link to my burnout vid right there on his homepage. They you just RIGHT click on that link, and then click on "Save target as" and then hit "save" and wait about 12 minutes for the download (assuming you have DSL or cable). And if it will not begin the download for you, then just click on this link below to get the decoder that your PC needs, and after you wait about oneminute for that downlaod to finish, you just go back to the Link on Mike's site, nnad RIGHT click on the burnout link again, and you're good to go.

Dear Mr. "G-Man"

As the president, founder, and sole surviving member of PETRT (People for the Ethical Treatment of Radial Tires), I hereby inform you that you are in violation of the Kyoto treaty and are entirely responsible for setting back our progress on environmental awareness issues at least 25 years.

Do you realize that the blocking of sunlight on this scale is what caused the extinction of the dinosaurs?

Such blatant disregard for the welfare of the unfortunate radial tires shown in your shameless video shows a complete lack of respect for the principles and spirit of the "tread wear" ratings embraced by vast majority of our population. 2 sets of tires completely decimated and for what? 150 yards of driving and some smoke? oh the humanity!

We at PETRT feel that reconciliation for this abuse can start with the forfeiture of the title of the monstrous implement of destruction to our organization so we can continue to research the psychological origins for such behavior.

We appreciate your cooperation.

Sincerely,

PETRT

you can't even see the car..when the car took off where did you go into the pass or the future?LOL.....actually, after that first burnout of that video was finished, the steel belts were haning out of the tires, and I actually heard them flying around!!! I was glad that they didn't damage the fenders. But I had to hobble the car on into a small parking lot nearby where I proceeded to change the tires. Good thing I brought two extra rims with tires on them. my kids love it they ask me if i can do that ..Way to represent buddy!!! :2thumbs: :2thumbs:  5 Thumbs up!!!!!Thanks Mark....yeah, I figured that a video as sick as this one was would really get our Marauders "on the map" in burnout land.....you should read some of the quotes from guys on the Mustang and Cobra boards after they've seen this vid. In addition to making comments about the video, they also often mention how cool Marauders are.

Hey Billy, I have got to ask you one thing ,Well two if I may,;How did you know when to let / off? did you see sparks?and did you finally hook? :burn: :bump: Brad, in the first burnout of the vid, I had planned on letting em smoke for about 55 seconds since that's what I wanted to sync the burnout to that song. but as about 48 seconds into the burnout I started hearing a vibration that worried me at first, because I thought it was something in the drivetrain. So I about 2 seconds later as the vibration became more apparent, I let go of the Line-lock button and let off the gas pedal, and just as I did, the I heard the steel belts start floppoing around, and then I was relieved that it was the tires rather than something in the drivetrain.

With the front brakes, or the line-lock on, there's no way the car is going to hook up when you have the gas pedal down about three quarters to the floor like I did. If you look real close, you can see some of the steel belts hanging out of the tires in that small camera window offto the right of the screen as the car is coasting down the street, after the first burnout was completed.

In the second burnout, I had the RPM's abit lower, and I had music CD playing while I was performing the burnout, so that I can watch the seconds, so that I would'nt keep the tires spinning longer than 30 seconds in order to avoid having the steel belts flapping around again.

Just a thought!Okay Pat, that's an interseting topic for me, because I contemplated for along time what song touse for this. i didn't want to bring it up here nefore the video was done, because i wanted to surprise you guys.here's what I think:

#1. Motley Crew's "Kickstart...I'venever heard it. I'll have to check it out...

#2. Purple Haze, (U mean Jimmy hendrix? If so, no way, too mellow for a burnout vid)

#3. Back in Black (no way cuz the music is cool, but that guy's scratchy high pitched voice just doesn't sound macho enough for a muscle car burnout vid).

#4. Fuel..someone sle suggested that, and i checked it out, and found that the tempo of the music is just not steady enough. it jerks around too much IMO.

#5. I like crazy train, but Like I said, iwanted a song that has someone singing with atleast alittle bit of a Macho type voice, and Ozzie never had that. As you can see, i was very particular about what song i wanted for this vid. This thing has been a labor of Luv for me. But I find your suggestions interesting, and thought provoking. I'll have to check out that one that I haven't heard.

Good, that's god damn right. I spent some $$$$ on special devices too, because I knew I would be modifying this car with expensive parts. Its all money down the toilet if the car is stolen & stripped.

Even with a high speed connection, we are still dependant on the site traffic as to the download speed obtained, IMHO.

Mike.LOL....yeah, I hear ya......most women will never understand this video nor appreciate it if and when they see it, just as some men won't either. but it definately is a guy thing, so you'll be hard pressed to find any woman who won't think I'm crazy when they watch it (not that I'm not:D ). It's kinda the same thing as how I'll never understand what's so thrilling to women about going clothes shopping (especially for shoes!!). I know a lady who literllay has 94 pair of shoes, and yet she still can nver wait to go back to the mall to buy more! So what makes more sense, wasting your tires to do a burnout vid like mine, or having 94 pair of shoes, and shopping for more? it's probably a toss-up, but shows the vast difference in the genders.
