Some of you might think this is too ricer-ish but I saw one on a 96 SS and it was really eye catching. This module is for 99-present Vics and I assume ours is from those Vics as well. Can anyone confirm this? Thanks.

I think they are the same also. But we dont have the right style taillights for this. Please advise the flash pattern on this.

I haven't had my rear lights out in a long time, but if I remember correctly, we have two bulbs back there. One for running lamp/brake lamp, and the other turn signal.
The module in question would work.
I do not feel it's ricey what-so-ever, but more LEO look such as the wig-wag box I once had on my headlamps that alternated hi or low beams.

I wouldn't say they're to ricerish. If I'm not mistaken Ford was the first to have them. I had them on my 96 Mustang but it wouldn't look right on these cars.

I don't think they are ricerish.... they look better in a 3 bulb car. I had sequentials in my Cobra.... and I have sequentials from Thundercat in my 88 Thunderbird Turbocoupe. (with three bulbs they look GREAT in the Tbird)
I wonder if there is anyone else doing them for the Crown Vics. The kit that I used for my Cobra was very simple and is practically plug in. Thundercat's kits require a bit of wiring to be done. (cutting and splicing)
When I am a little further down the line on my mods I will do a sequential setup. Good to know these exist for our MMs.

Another note... apparently Thundercat also does Wig-Wag flashers.

I had the unit ($35 JCWhitney) in my '98 Marquis. The dealership that took it in trade for the Marauder actually followed me to my home and stood around waiting as I removed the Marquis snow tires and other assorted personal items. There wasn't time to pull the module, so it went with the car.
I will likely get another one again. Really easy install by tapping into the headlamp harness' under the hood.
It was a handy emergency feature, and usefull at events, parades, and funerals. I won't say it helped to get fast lane hoggers to move over at night....;)

You can go to Gall's they have them a bit pricey though. Check with Ghost03 he's got them in his reverse lights, tail lights and head lights.

Saw a pair of strobes at Circuit City or Best Buy (Can't remember which specifically) just last week. You might want to check there also.

I think they look kind of official. But for $44!? Jeese, do some research and build it yourself, it's just a relay or two, with some fancy LED lights to show which one's opperating...woooooo

Our cars have Dual Filament bulbs , so they all perform the same function all at once, i.e. all bulbs are used for marker, turn and stop.
I had Sequentials on my SS, which required some mods, and they were great, but I think it would look really silly on a MM.
I dunno if we use the same harness, but somewhere along the line, Ford Changed the GM taillight from 4 bulbs to 3.

In mid-year '99, all Panthers switched to the current bulb setup. IMHO, the sequental tail light "mod" would not be noticeable in our style/shape of tail lamps.
Why install wig-wags or strobes unless you are a LEO or some other type of emergency personnel?

No im not a LEO, I just thought this might make the car unique and more eye catching. Its already on its way So im going to try it and if i like it keep it and if not ill take it out. want wait to see.

I have strobes on my 03 MM and i LOVE them. Kinda pricy but well worth it. I have them in my reverse lights, Headlights, and brake lights. Theres aplace down by me in Ft. Lauderdale called strobes-r-us. They do most of the Leo cars. I got mine from a place called coastal automotive in Tamarac. Trust me when i say its well worth it and they look great. Just a note that if anyone is planning on installing them in the headlight just make sure that you dont run with the strobes and headlights on for a long period of time b/c the strobes produce a lot of heat and will burn out your headlights........

That's fine and dandy. However, be careful when and where you use them. In addition, I'd have a good explination ready for when an officer eventually questions you on why you have installed warning lights/strobes.
I highly advise against installing anything in your headlamp housings. Eventually, the leadlight lense will haze and/or build up moisture.

Well I will be using them when ever im in my car as I do use my turn indicators to change lanes and turn :coolman: . Theres a cop every 40 feet here since its a huge public university (UCSB). Im hoping CDOT doesnt have any regs against sequential lights. I guess ill find out. better get the dead bodies outta the trunck in case they want to have a look around. :banana2:

Its illegal to use while you are driving here in Florida but there is a statute stating that you can not have any blue, red colored lights on the vehicle. If they are clear it is ok. The only time you can use them The rear lights ) is if you are broken down on the side of the road and use it for hazard lights to warn traffic coming towards you. As for the front well thats a different story. It all up to the discresion of the cop. Some will hit you with impersonation while others wont give 2 craps about it. Personally i use them while at our weekly car show and accasionally use it on the road if there is someone driving irratic or aggresive............Just to be on the safe side check with your local officials

Did you take your reverse lights out to drill the hole, or did you drill the hole on the car?
Did you have a rough time mounting the strobes?

Hey LV, we put those sequencers in Travis' CVPI about a year ago. They really work best with the 4 bulb rear lamp set up. This is because the bottom two bulbs are the trun signal and the top two are the brake light. It is REALLY noticable in his, and it looks cool, especially at night when changinf lanes. He had strobes on it too, but a run in with an overzealous School PD offcier and I pursuaded him to take them off. I think they would work in te MM. I bought an extra sequncer when we got Travis ones to play around with. If they are the ones from ThunderCat then the instructions are pretty easy. It has an adjustment for speed since the sequencer has to work with the Lighting Control Module ortherwise the LCM thinks you have a burned out lamp and flashes fast.

The guys at the shop where i purchased the lights installed them for me. To be honest with you i have no idea how they did it and really I dont even want to know what my car looked like while they were installing them.....All i know is that it took them almost 6 hours to install them. The wait is well worth it. Whatever you do dont buy the lights from a local auto parts store like pepboys, nappa, advanced autoparts...All they sell are knock off brands and you will regret it. If you want the real ones make sure that the bulbs have a loop at the top of the light. The bulbs itself run $60 each.....BUT again trust me its worth every penny....Just a heads up when it comes to the swich to turn the lights on and off make sure they dont drill holes in your dash....I have 2 swiches in my center console right above the coin holders so that way im the only one who has acess to the swich......Let me know if you have any questions.

If you know how to wire everything and mount the power supply and run the wires then thats cool but if not i would take it somewhere to have installed. Trust me it will get frustrating during the installation. Are you doing to connect it to your turn signal so it flashes when you use them?

Keep in mind these are the Lights with a Seprate AMBER turn signal.
I had a customer in Germany (US Air Force) who bought CVPI lights from me with black trim and amber turn so his car would be legal there!
