reverse lights

does anyone know how to take off the reverse (back up) lights? I am sending my tail lights out for paint and will probably send out the reverse lights too if i can figure out how to get them off the car.

They're a part of the trunk panel and to the best of my knowledge cannot be easily removed without damage; prying 'em at the weld seams opens the possibility to breakage -and- even if you were successful, you've had to cement them back-on.

Removing the trunk panel is NBD; just a matter of removing several nuts from the inside of the trunk lid and the four screws / bolts in the plate area ( two under the plate and two for the license plate light ). And oh ya ... you have to disconnect the license plate light from the harness.

Correct. You will need to remove the entire rear panel as an assembly.
