The better questions is whether you are going to install Dennis's chip and gears in the stroller and paint it black....

Exciting times these are for your soon to be larger family.

I will vote for a girl. I have a 12 yr old daughter and a 9 yr old son. Having a daughter first works out best for Dad as you get to know her and spend time with her. My son is a carbon copy of me (As my wife notes - this is not necessarily a good thing.) and we enjoy many of the same activties. So the first three years one on one with my daughter were kind of special. If the sequence were reversed I'm sure my daughter and I wouldn't be as close as we are.

Don't get me wrong though, sons are great.

Consider the following exchange. We're watching the "Grinch", directed by Ron Howard. In the credits it mentions that Ron Howard also directed "Splash", so my son asks:

Son: "Dad, what is Splash about?"
Dad: "Its about a man who falls in love with a mermaid"
Son: "Kind of like Ariel in the Little Mermaid - Can we rent it?"
Dad: "No, the mermaid doesn't have clothes on in some parts."
Son: "Oh? - No wonder the man fell in love with her."

At this point Dad almost chokes to death on his Diet Coke.

See what your getting into.

Good Luck

GZ

Congrats poke,
2 boys and a girl, boys lived hard, girl had it all. Boys are oldest, girl baby. Boys go off to college no big deal, girl leaves, croc tears from tough ole dad. She calls at 12:30am, car broke down, I get out of bed drive 5 hours fix car and I be the hero. Boys said they would not have even called, would not want to hear me scream. You will love the little feller regardless of gender and when it is born you will say this is what I wanted. A little advice, everyone is an expert on rearing a child, just look at their children and see if you should take the advice. I got lots of useless knowledge from well minded people, raise them the best you can and love them with all your heart because they are a gift from God. OBTW I think it will be a girl.

I am 21 months in, and the boy never ceases to amaze me.....
It will be interesting to hear about it.
BEWARE! They still have a mind of their own before they are born.
My wife ate pizza one evening (Gage hated pizza during the pregnancy), and he decided to KICK the sack of water broken and arrive 2 weeks early. Apparently he turned around to do so...and breached. No problem tho, the marvals of todays technology. Anyway, 2 things....
1) Don't let her eat pizza in the last trimester.
2) Keep a full tank of gas, and pray for the opportunity to haul a** to the hospital. No ticket on this run....

You might even get an escort......and outrun 'em!

Escorts I can do, I own a few Chicago streets.

But, I have not been blessed with children of my own, so, I won't vote either way. However the Lord blesses you, you have my sincere prayers for health and happy, who's as crafty as daddy.

Need a ride, give me a call, got yer back.

We dont need an escort since the hospital is 4 blocks from where we live. But you never know - the escort offer may come in handy!

We hope the baby is healthy too, of course! We are just trying to have our family and friends guess the baby's gender for fun.

so go ahead and cast your vote!

1st priority is healthy.I'm not sure if the world is ready for Craftypoke And Son Industries, but it does have a sort of ring to it. A daughter would mean 2 females around to keep you in line. Oh,how about twins,1 boy and 1 girl, how many people vote for twins?

Hope you have a healthy boy OR girl. Got a 5 year old young lady of my own who rides in the center command position in her back seat booster..."Wheee, Daddy, Wheeeee!!!!!!" Really adds a dimension to your life.

Poke, have two girl's and they both are out of the house now but I think of them all the time. My oldest girl give us two of the greatest grand babies you could ask for. One boy and one girl and the girl get's any thing she ask for from her PaPa. and so the the boy. But I hope that what ever you both have that they are healthy and Loved.

possibly the best thing for slowpoke is the fact that Mrs. poke bought a bunch of furniture at IKEA and it has required several round trips to get more accessories [ a 40-mile round trip]. If you saw a MM on the tollway tonight blazing by you.... that was ME!

remember to vote [top of this thread]

every vote counts! and in case you want to toss out a few names, we were hoping to use the letters "J" or "S" as the first letter of the first name and the middle name should begin with the letter "B"

we still do not know if its a boy or girl.

I guess that rules out using "R" & "F"...
