Welcome abaord. If you have traction control, then you have a 300B or a Canadian 300A.

The way I understand it from doing some reading...The first batch came with traction control, but, no way to turn it off. After some complaining, Mercury added the switch to turn it off. Some people felt that a "muscle car" should be able to smoke the tires. I may be wrong, but I have been doing some research since I first saw the MM on speed channel March 02.

From the Central California Coast, born and raised. Don't plan on any mods. I prefer to keep it stock (Stocker). Once you change it from factory, to me, it's no longer a marauder. I also have a 91 Z28 that's also factory stock, 59,000 mi. bought new.....great response for my first post, thanks.

That is not correct. All Canadian Marauders came with Traction Control.
The 2003 Marauder 300a's didn't have TC.
All 2003 300 B's had TC.
TC was standard on all 2004 Marauders

Welcome to MM net from San Diego! There are a few of us here, 69 Mach 1, Jefferson, and some others in the county who don't belong to the site. Have a great weekend, -kjs-

I read on one of the other threads that a 300B was minus a few items:
underhood light, seat map pockets, electric fuel door, clock, etc..but no traction control. mine has all the extras, and traction control. On the window sticker it has the dealership that I bought it from so I would assume it's a California car with California emissions. Maybe it would be considered a 300C. Any clues???

What you have is a rare type that has both 300A and 300B things. It is a 300B, called pre-decontented. Do you have a chrome shifter?

Does the last 6 of the VIN start with 655? If so, You might have a "pre-decontented" 300B.

Yesterday I traded in my '03 Crown Vic for a '04 Marauder. I've loved them since I first saw them and recently found out that Ford wasn't making them for '05. What a shame. Mine is black and has 12,000 kilometres. Smells new and looks shiny. I'm in love.........

 Welcome to all the Noobs. Get ready for constant grinning, salivation when the keys are in your hand, and a need to crush those who refuse to be "assimilated". As the past owner of a few classics along the way ('65 Mustang, '65 Impala SS, '64 Pontiac LeMans, '69 Pontiac GPrix and '71 Mach 1) it is good to be back in an 8 cylinder, RWD, eyecatcher. This car and this site are the cure for all that ails you.
