Are there any companies out there that make speed grills for our Marauders. I've tried Putco and Street Scene and haven't had any luck. I'm looking for a black powder coated one to replace my factory one.
If not maybe I can fabricate one designed for another vehicle to fit in ours.

I'm pretty sure there's no such thing currently available, for our cars. You may want to try the local ricer stores - The last time I was in one (for a car alarm), I noticed they had do-it-yourself kits, for mesh in those big front spoilers, etc. You may have some luck there...
You'd have to hack up a stock grille, to make it work. You might want to get you're hands on another stocker, to play around with.
I don't know if it would look good... I personally like the blacked out look (I have a Speed Scene's grille on my truck and love it).

Never heard them called "speed" grilles. I could have sworn I saw a chain mail lookin' one somewhere but can't find it now. Someone made a custom steel mesh grill a while back. Here's a couple pics in the gallery:

There is also the infamous Zack custom badgeless grille, but its not metal.

I had a 'Speed Grill' in my last Chevy. It is not a mesh like the logan pic. It is also avail in silver and BLACK.
To the best of my knowledge, nobody makes these commercially. HOWEVER, I saw a black one on a Marauder last year. It was a custom job.
If you call around I am sure you can find a good custom shop to make one.

Try this place in Southern California. I spoke to them last year and they said they can make any kind of grill. I saw their Billet Grills which were amazing. They quoted me $300.

That would be the ticket I'm looking for, 'cept I'd have it powder-coated black.
Can you PM me on where you got it from. Something I might try on a spare grill. That way If I don't like, I can go back to the original.

Cadillac uses the stainless mesh on their -V models. Probably emulating the Bentleys. It would look cool if you could keep the profile right. If it was flat it would probably cheap.

Thanks BruteForce for the compliments---those two grills, mine and Fin Harder 92's, are the only known two like that on an MM---both by Zack---

One problem with painting or powder coating that mesh,..... it won't stay painted/coated. The mesh will float a bit, scraping off the color.

I always wanted feedback
It is one of the first links on this thread
(SS MESH GRILLE)
not to be confused with the Zack grilles
(which...while nice are too flat and the wrong material IMHO)
The one with the "PN" Wisconsin license plate...
I went to Gator Customs in Crestwood, IL

How about a billet grill??? here:http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=33645&item=7952653202&rd=1
I think you have to get a crown vic frame or if the vic frame won't fit, then maybe a Gr. Marquis grill. to make this work....
