I was at the Mercury dealer today and my saleslady gave me a copy of the dealer traing tapes for the 2002 Lincoln Blackwood and the 2003 Grand Marquis/Marauder. I haven't viewed them yet,but will tonight. I only have one vcr so I can't make any copies, and I don't think it's legal for me to make any,but if any local guys want to borrow it .

I got these tapes 'cause I asked my salesperson to save them for me,if you do the same I'm pretty sure yours will give you their copy at the end of the model year. I am willing to loan my copy out to local members,if they make a copy for themselves that's their business.
UncleLar,
I think there are 2 facts here...
1) NOBODY at Lincoln/Mercury watched these tapes
and...
2) You can share a cell with LML when you provide us all "an opportunity" to watch it...

Todd,On fact 1 you are absolutely correct,I was told nobody there had watched the video,I got it early 'cause nobody would miss it as long as they didn't see me leaving with it.
Share a cell with LincMercLover, whatever for?
Bubba? Oh great, everybody wants to pick on me 'cause I'm the runt in my family!
Nobody's picking on you 'Lar...check your PM for desciption of what I didn't think was that much of an "inside" joke...

UncleLar, making copies of protected material was hashed out in the courts years ago. 1) You are allowed to make copies for personal use, but cannot charge admission for viewing, or, resell for profit.
2) I'm not sure what may be on that tape, but I don't expect it to be much different from the content of the DVD freely distributted by LM, therefore, you're clear from point 1 re; resale.
What's this "bubba" thing? Hope it's not anything demeaning.

If someone borrows the tape from me all I ask is that it's returned in the same condition it was loaned to them in,if they choose to make a copy while they have it is up to them. Sarge, when I see you I'll tell you the long story.

You watch it yet? What's on it? I'm guessing just an overview of the car and it's features to point out to the customer on a test drive.

It is a continuous loop tape that keeps chanting " It only comes in black, it only comes in black, it only comes in black"

"It's BLACK to accent the Rebel With A Cause' theme."Functional Without Sacrifice."
Philip Smoker is the GM/MM model mgr.
I paused on two different close ups of the wheel,in one either no valva cap was on the stem,or it was black plastic,2nd shot not very good, but definitly NOT MM GodsHead.
Some good video of the car, shows it smoking the tires slightly in a couple of shots. All in all a standard dealers training video that just happens to be of our favorite car. MM is the second half of the video after around 16-18 minutes of the GM. It's not " Gone Wtih the Wind",but it's nice to have a copy of as it tells you more about the car than your salesperson could or did, nothing in here we don't already know.

The tape maybe even more valuable to the few people who bought Lincoln Blackwood? It's spooky they put those two vechiles on a tape together.I called my salesman and he said he would look to see if he could find a copy of that tape?He did shutter at the mention of "blackwood".He said they had one and had to transfer it because they could'nt sell it?
