Marauder wheels on Ebay - any success stories?

Has anyone successfully bought some Marauder wheels off Ebay? This ad is by muscle_motors and the location is Michigan. I called a place in Lansing,MI called Muscle motors and they said they do not have Marauder wheels for sale, but some scammer has been using their name on Ebay! Then when he stiffs people they call them and complain. She called the local & state police and they yawned.

Makes me very leery.

I don't want to violate vendor rules here, but I did find a good guy on e-bay and he helped me and a number of other members with wheels at reasonable rates. In the last 12 months the seller has sold 172 items with 8 buyers leaving neg feedback. I wouldn't touch them with a 10 foot pole.

I was bidding on a complete set with tires that ended last night at 9 PM CST. I lost the bid in the last 30 seconds. The set went for $1225, but this set was in Colorado. But after reading your thread, I certainly will approach finding another set with much more caution. Appreciate the heads-up.

I actually bought a set from this guy last year. He had just sold another set to another guy (that had contacted me to warn me about him... a little too late). It took me awhile to talk him into shipping them, but they did finally come. I talked to him on the phone about half a dozen times and each time he gave me his life story. Both the set he shipped me and the set he shipped the other guy were pretty dinged up.

The real question is how is this guy obtaing set after set of dinged up MM rims? Are they factory rejects? Are they hot? Are that many MM owners replacing their stock rims with aftermarket rims? He told me that he owns an MM and replaced the rim. That story works for one set, but not for 4+ sets.

As I once posted before....anyone interested in one-z two-z's I have a relible source for MM wheels locally. They are all used/refinished and prices vary from as little as $160 to $215 depending on the individual wheel quality.

I am getting my rear OEM MM rims widened. It will take at least 3 weeks. I have acquired two used rims with new OEM BFGs. One is an 8 grade and the other a nearly new 9. I would like to sell the set to an interested MM owner who may wish to use them while they are also getting their rims widened. The cost would be $600 for both rims and new tires plus shipping.
