Well on Monday I got my JLT, and installed it that night. I never got a
chance to hear the sound. So I got out of Collage around
1030 and notied i95 north was emty so I hop on, and of course romp it at the entrence ramp. I cut across to the middle lane, quickly getting to 90mph enjoyng ths sound of the new JLT. Im think to myself nice clear freeway was nice, as soon as I look in my drivers side mirror I notice there was a MA State Police car in the fast lane the whole time, he must have been just before the on ramp when I goosed it. Im thinking to myself I drive like a granny 90% of the time and this one time theres an officer, So im running over excuses in my head "I dont know if this will hert me or help me but im a Police Cadet in Newton.." just as im preparing to pull over he goes right by me giving the car a quick glance and I nod back.....Lucky---Maybe--- cool.... absolutly

Its a special thing to have a marauder!!
Here in Broward County Florida, The Sherriff office has a fleet of them
and the Top Cop drives one on a regular basis. So a little special treatment now and again is a regular thing.
some of the benefits:
Special parking at the airport, they(the BSO officers) usually waive me in to a special police only spot, its cool, I am not there long,...lol
Get caught going like 30 over the limit, and end up talking about the car, no ticky
Screaming thru traffic arround jacksonville, and be the first to get radared in a big bunch, I was just cooking thru the clog, and I would say that as I whipped by at 90 that the officer actually waived...
and I swear that I did not know there was a police car in the left lane, I was in the right and
of course I nailed it. only a little tire spin off the line, roar to the top of first, and have a really nice chirp going into second, I like it alot!!!......Right about then I see him in my side view mirror...foot off gas I only made it to 50....but he pulled up next to me and just looked....He was way behind and gettin further back when I let off...adrenilin fun

Marauder2005 ,I thought you would like the sound, I realy like mine. I had a similar event crossing Alagator Alley Had open road no traffic was doing 110 looked up the road behind a bush there he was waiting. but to my supprize he waved. He must have thought I was Florida Highway patrol. I used my 1 get away free and don't want a second try.
I don't pretend to be a Police Officer, but so many people tell me my car looks like an unmarked it isn't funny. And people dang sure move when I come up behind them, I feel bad sometimes watching them slam on thier brakes and moving over a lane, and I'm not even close enough to be considered tailgating. I don't come screaming up on them, you know? But, I'd rather be confused with a group of people who I respect and admire like Law Enforcement folks than a group of idiots. Like Mimes. Imagine if the Marauder was popular with Mimes, and everytime you stopped somewhere people asked "Are you a Mime?!" Aaaaccck!!

Ever looked at a police report before :P
Police love these cars. when my wife was in a wreck had no less than three car loads stop to check on her. they all set in the car. one open hood and checked everthing over before she left.

IMO, this is one of the best reasons to have this car. There is nothing like driving in the fast lane and watching everybody get out of your way, especially when its dark outside. Its AWESOME.

Hey great story!
People dont seem to fooled as easily from the rear,as I always seem to be tailgated if traveling the speed limit. There are certain areasaround here that are heavily populated by the LEO's staked out with thier speed pistols,And I don't share the same "Special Treatment" from the LEO's that some of you others have commented on.Although I did beat the last speeder, I went to trial on a few weeks ago! :bounce: :cheer: :cool5:  Bradley G
