I know Pauls High Performance did it in one of their cars. They also installed the cobra supercharged engine that went with the tranny.

What options are out there for this mod and how much better could it affect its performance. I was watching some show where they were rebuilding an dodge charger like the General Lee from the old TV show (before my time) and they put a 6 speed automatic in it. I'm wondering if thats possible for these MM's.

No one?
P.S. How hard would this be to accomplish?

I did some mental gymnastics and asked a few questions a while back, with some startling responses. Ever hear about the guy who took his clothes off and jumped into the cactus patch? He said it seemed like a good idea at the time. You'd think it would be a simple job, if you say it real fast, and I was thinking along the same lines as iwantonesobad, I mean how hard could it be?
In the first place the Marauder is NOT a Crown Vic, and it's my impression that it's just about to it's design limits, chassis-wise. The notion that you can add a clutch pedal and bolt on a 5 or 6sp is pure fantasy.
The entire driveline must be rebuilt along with the mounting hardware, and suspension bits. The '04's have traction control, and both have load leveling suspensions along with the electronics and mechanical pieces that make it work, not to mention the computer program that ties it all together.
Can it be done? Of course it can; but just know, up front, it could be a lot more fun than you wanted to have. Think about the high dollar car you could be enjoying/driving; tied up in the shop, while you engineer, fabricate, and break every single part from the motor mounts to the tailpipe(s). :twocents:
