This took place at a cruse-in in Canton Ga. yesterday. The local Impala club rounded up about 7 cars. Our mission - to promote our www.sshs2.com event. The following was posted on our chat page after the cruise-in event:

Ken and Andrea held the pole position on one of the first rows when
we arrived. Gary parked next to K&A, I parked next to Gary, Bud next
to me and on and on. At least that was the line-up when we walked to
the Mex place for dinner. When we returned to our cars I noticed
nothing out of the ordinary. Started talking to Andrea about
locating the Marauder I heard about that was there for a closer
look. "Doug, it's parked right next to you".

Sumbich. I turned around and lo and behold - an interloper! Missed
it completely (talk about blend). Shonuff, Gary left early and as
soon as he vacated, a Marauder entered and took his spot next to me
and Andrea. Very cool!!! That is a nice looking autombile; my first
chance to get up close and personal. Also the first real look at the
DOHC 4.6. My first thoughts were 'that looks like a Milodon Mastadon
that reeks of 600 hp - what a monster'!! All that aluminum and so
anemic. What a shame. Folks, once the aftermarket catches up with
the populating Marauder community, we may have some serious
competition ahead of us. Or at least I hope so.

The owners name was Wayne, and apologize for not remembering his
wifes name. Really a nice couple. AND...he wants to play with uSS.
After initial discussion with yesterdays attendees, and unless there
is some serious hearburn amongst the GASSIT membership, our newest
(honorary?) member will be a FoMoCo SS driver (as everyone kneejerks
wtf?).

Relax. Wayne will probably join us at upcoming activities until he
can establish a local Marauder group. He will also contact the
Marauder boards to push SSHS2. We hope that down the road
a "companion" club of Marauder owners can be organized in the Atlanta
area to join us in all that we do over the year. Sure hope so.

It was agreed that a convoy of Impalas and Marauders would be a sight
to behold - and a definite indication of "something big is going
down". So please, let's welcome Wayne to our group, and hope that he
can rally future Marauder owners into forming a club that will be
complementing as well as competitive to us.
