Has the body kit from Sema been dropped?

Think there are many MM owners who would buy this.

Unfortunately, last I heard....from Jerry Barnes himself....you cannot get this SEMA kit at all....they only made one kit and it's on Jerry's car (the one in the pictures from SEMA)

I was wanting this kit myself!!! :(

p.s. I got the wonderful opportunity to drive this car (pictured) at MVII in Indy last year!!! FUN, FUN, FUN!!!!!

There is a thread around here where Jerry made the effort to get these panels into production for us. It turned out to be extremely difficult to find a manufacturer...and keep the price reasonable.

The price was never posted, but from what I understand, it would not be in our better interest.

I want this kit as well...always have....

But if it costs as much, or more than an S/C install, seriously, how many of us would be able to swing that?

OK...I found it.

Hey Folks,

The cost for doing our first car for SEMA was $24,000. We had soft tools made, which we still have, but everyone that has looked at them has said the same thing, you need new tooling. New tooling for these very big one piece body panel is expensive. I have had estimates everywhere from $36,000 to $500,000. We tried China and we tried the Ricer shops that do fascias ...... and the answers are all the same. I would love to make these kits, but the cost for each kit would be conservatively $3,000 to $5,000 if I could sell a humdred minimum. Most people will not pay that kind of money. And yes, they would have to be glass, the molded rubber pieces would be even more!!!!

I will bring both cars to INDY and you can take a look, but we have spent a hugh amount of time trying to get these things made, and I have to get back to money making projects. I have payroll to meet every week and it ain't cheap!

Sorry again! Back to development of the 2004 F150 5.4L 3V and the 2005 Mustang 4.6L 3V Intercooled Supercharger Kits.

I know that the kit has been dropped because of cost issues, but couldn't a (good) body shop modify our current front and rear bumpers to have the same look as the Sema car???
