Hey all,
I have a question on UD pullies. I know that it will reduce parasitic power loss on the motor by reducing the alternator, etc approx 25%. I need some real world experience from you guys running in the winter. Here in the 'Peg, it's not uncommon for the temp to go down to -35C in the winter. How will the reduction affect alternator/charging performance in such cold weather? Plus, I'll be putting in an aftermarket audio system with DVD, approx. 400w of power, subs etc. Would I be asking too much from the charging system running pullies? This is my daily driver so I need to think about these things before I start.
On a side note, the mod bug has hit me and I've already done a 2.25" custom dual exhaust. And thanks to BUCKWHEAT, I've got the MM airbox and MAF. Once I'm ready, I'll be contacting DR for the custom chip/tune. If you've read my "bummed out" post, I'm in the process of searching for some MM wheels. And I'm considering the switch to 3.27/3.55 gears with an LSD. Not to mention the audio system I'll be starting in a couple of weeks. So I'd like to thank all of you for help and great info. Even my girlfriend is on board with me modding out the car. :D

What he said ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ is exactly how my '04 runs with the Steeda UD's and SCT Excalibrator tune from DR...... It's a 200RPM increase in "D".

How much are you asking for them? And will they fit an '04 CVLX?

I may have then sold in the next few days. They are the Steeda UD pulles, I do not know if they would fit a CV.

Can anybody confirm that the Steeda UD pullies will fit the CV? Or is there a specific model for it? Steeda.com only show for the Mustang.
tmac1337: If the deal falls through, and they will indeed fit a CV, I'll buy them.

The UDs for the Marauder (DOHC) will not fit the CV (SOHC).
If you go with the Steedas you need 701-0003 (http://www.steeda.com/store/-catalog/underdrive46.htm). And Yes they're for the mid 2001+ GT ( Mustang ).
*The Marauder's are 701-0004.

Thanks for the clarification gdmjoe. I guess I'll have to pass on this one. BTW, I might have some questions on the MM airbox/MAF swap for you when I'm ready.
