Yesterday afternoon I went to the Po Boys Car Show in Canton, Georgia. Normally I take my 72 LTD Convertible but since the weather was iffy my wife and I took the Marauder and decided we would just walk around rather than show.
Well, when I got to the show I drove past the show entrance and headed for the parking area. When I parked my car two guys came up and wanted so see the Marauder. They had follwed us around the show lot perimeter..on foot.... After talking to them I decided to go ahead and put in the show area.
When I pulled in the Georgia SS Impala Team (GASSIT) was lined up on one row at the entrance. One of their memebers moved his car so we could put the Marauder in their line up. You should have seen folks walking down the line of SS Impalas then doing at double take at mine sitting in the line!! It ended up being a great evening talking with the SS folks and enjoying the show..
If had been selling Maruaders it would been a real interesting evening to say the least. I must have given out the name of my salesman to 20 people who wanted to check into getting one.
My thanks to GASSIT for inviting me to join their line and the fun we all had.
