Looked at an 03 today and I had a few questions if anybody could help...

300A - does it have traction control? Do I really need it?

Not tracking straight - pulling to the right. Is this an issue that goes deeper than alignment or tires? (thought I saw multiple posts in the garage)

Discovered that it had previously been chipped (diablo); any problems I should look for or be aware of?

Sorry, but my old Mercs (67 / 410 , 64 / 390) didn't need no steenking cheeps and I'm trying to make an informed decision!

If the alignment has been done to preserve tire wear (in that it IS NOT at factory specs), than the pull could be something as simple as the right tire having less pressure than the left. I recently had an alignment and it was still pulling to the right, and the tech -- who I trust -- shrugged it off as "radial pull." Ahh, but I have a TP monitor that showed the left tire had 5 PSI more than the right consistantly through temperature ranges.Bumping up the right to the same pressure eliminated the pull.

Check the TP first.

Well as far as t/c goes only the 300B's had it.

Not tracking straight? Well they let you look under the car see if it has been hit?
Far as I know it's an alinement issue.

Hello Ron. Ron was at my Dealership looking at this car today. It's a 03 with 15k on it. The tech that worked on the car said the underneath looked beautiful and didn't appear to have ever been hit. The car was garaged and well kept. We only changed the Oil and filter, wipers and air filter. The brakes are 7/32 and the tires are in very good shape. We always replace the air filter so when someone takes the car to their mechanic to inspect it before they buy it, the filters and fluids look good. We offer a free Carfax with every car. I'm sure it's clean. This is a Mercury Certified Vehicle. The warranty covers just about anything and is good at any Ford or Lincoln Mercury Dealer Nationwide. What ever the problem with the pull would be taken care of like the used Car Mgr. said. I don't think you'll find a nicer used Marauder. It's the best one I've seen. Most have a lot of scratches, this car had none, nor any acid rain stains. You could tell it was well taken care of. It's you decission Ron. I'm sure this car won't be here long. It's the one I posted with the Auto Trader ad. Good luck with your decission Ron. Ray

Drove it home today and love it! Awesome vehicle; the family hot rod! Had 2 black Dodge Magnums (one SRT) doggin' my butt on the 13 mile ride home! Guess I can look forward to encountering other "enthusiasts" as well?!

Thanks for your assistance, Dealer!
