for those interested, I have just installed a set of cryogenically treated front rotors and pads. I wanted to upgrade braking performance w/o spending thousands fopr rotors/calipers/pads. Cryo treatment was only 60 bucks plus shipping, and I bought new components so I didn't have to lay the car up for the 1-2 weeks required for the shipping/treatment. My racing experience with this technology was that cryo provided an increased friction coefficient, much more even braking and longer life. My experience with the Marauder setup isn't extensive yet, but the brakes "feel" better for the 20 miles I so far have on them. If anyone is interested in trying this, I have the set of rotors/pads for sale that I just removed so you can have them treated and do a quick install. They have 12k miles on them and appear perfect; no scoring on the rotors, negligable pad wear. I'm in FL and I'm not sure the shipping charges long distances is worth it, but let me know in you're interested.

Where did you have the 'Cryo' done?
I've been checking out www.300below.com
When I upgrade my OEM brakes to TCE's 'big brake' kit I might have the new rotors "Cryo' treated. I figure if I'm spending $2000 on new brakes, I might as well do it right.

I have used 300 below before. Had these rotors done at thremal Research in Largo, FL.
Do the pads too. Thermal does them fopr free with the rotors.

Flescher- I was just going to post about this thermal treatment to see if anyone tried it.My wifes cousin works at the place in Largo and is sending me rotors and pads to test out, says it really extends the life of the rotors and improves performance! I gave him Dennis Reinharts web info, dont know if he has made contact with Dennis yet.If anyone in my area has any ideas on how or where we can test stock brakes against the treated ones let me know asap,I should have them soon. If anyone is interested let me know I'll try and get more info.

I am installing five sets made by KVR on five FHP cars Tuesday

Dennis were the brakes thermally treated? Paul -sounds good I'll call you when I get them and I'll probably see you at Hooters if the weather holds out.

The 03 CV PI as well as the Marauders use the same rotor, the rotors are prone to heat crack KVR made some cryo treated rotors for me so the FHP can try them, there less than a OEM rotor. I am using these with Carbon fiber pads rear sway bar and rear pads and tuning for five new FHP cars
