I read in an old post that Dennis said the SCT9100 and the Xcalibrator are virtually the same thing except the SCT9100 had a digital readout and that the SCT9100 is no longer being sold. I know the SCT also was able to retrieve DTC's and display them. So can I still reteive DTC's with the Xcalibrator? If not what do I do then? I'd hate to spend 425 for the Xcalibrator then another 100-150 for a DTC retriever when The SCT9100 did both for 425.:help:

You can get a relatively inexpensive code reader here:

As far as I read in the old post they do the same thing in regards to custom tuning. It was only that the SCT9100 had the capability to read DTC's and display them on a screen, whereas the Xcalibrator cannot do that function, it only reflashes the ECM with the custom tune.
I know Mike Troyer still has them on his web site. If worse comes to worse I could just get the Actron code scanner and get the Xcalibrator any how or buy the SCT9100 off of Troyer for my '98 F-150 and get the Xcalibrator for the Marauder.
Man modding gets expensive but hey speed costs money.:burn:

I seen that just thought it was the program to do the custom downloads via the net for the Xcalibrator.
