Programmed my 03 this weekend. I'm very happy with the results. The new firmware seems to have smoothed out the shifting and made the car less "peaky" at half to three-quaters throttle. At WOT the shifts are firm but not neck jerking. I'll track the next tank of fuel to see how milage does. I get about 18.7 mpg mixed driving with lots of wot occasions:D .

On another note.... how does the traction control on these cars work??? On my 2000 limited marquis punch it to the floor in the rain and the computer works the brakes and the engine to keep the wheels from spining. On the Marauder puch it in the rain and I'm doing 50MPH sideways with the back wheels spinning. Doesn't seem to matter wheather the switch illuminates "off" or not just works the same.

My T/C never seems to have a problem, if i so much as even try to power through a turn on wet pavement or hit a small patch of ice or anything my T/C light will start blinking and the car will loose all power and not go anywhere, it gets so annoying. Half the time i wind up just turning it off and then it always seems like i have normal traction anyway so, i don't know.

I have the xcalibrator, its not a tuner, just a PCM flash up/downloader. Got three tunes from Lidio with it, 3.55, 4.10, and 3.55 with race gassssss

Dave, ever get a snapshot of that laptop mount :) I'd like to see what you did/used. I made a tray to hold my laptop, need to figure the post/arm arrangement.

I'd be interested in what type of setup you went with. I am going to install the same in mine soon.

Thanks,

The T/C works from a different computer than the Powertrain Control.

I think that the T/C on the Marauder steps in very quickly if ONE WHEEL spins,
as if you are ona patch of ice, it kills all of your power instantly...

But I've been able to launch with the back wheels spinning,
and as long as they are spinning TOGETHER, the T/C doesn't kick in at all.

We'll see Saturdy FFW in Orlando.... the type aa intake should not affect the drive hook-up other than more HP.

I have a model 1725 with the latest updates. I had gotten it from them when I let them use my 2000 Marquis as a test mule.

I think the one wheel spin thing may be accurate cause today I took off at a SS and took a right with a little too much throtle and the T/C worked the way I expected it to. When taking off straight in the rain both tires lost it and sideways I went. Mabey the T/C doesn't monitor all the wheel speeds with the same weight and left to right spin has more influence than font to back differences. Or it gets turned off for WOT to avoid damage and wear to the LSD.
