The photo is a bit washed out, but it does appear to be much brighter red than DTR. Looks like somebody had it painted that color. Ain't gonna get $28 K for a 2004 used, even if it is only 4,000 miles on the clock and special red paint.

Interesting, though. I'd wondered what a regular red would look like.

Fire engine red, thats almost as bad as the White marauder with the 1/2 vinal roof on the west coast of Florida.

To get a special order color from Ford it is ordered under a fleet #.I think you have to order a quantity of 6 or 8?If it is not a repaint, then their may be some more with the same color running around.

Back in 1996 I and a friend had been authorized and approved by GM to have the Impala SS manufactured in the color white. The magic number was 11. We had to have 11 orders in our hands.

Never could get 9 more people signed up though.

I just got off the phone with the guy, it is the standard DTR, but he said he ordered it with Dark Charcoal, so it was "Special" , and he goes, "I did lots of research on these things before I bought, and I know lots about them."
