Just thought I'd join the club...FYI.

Rear's are almost bald in the center, fronts are bald on the edges.

Ford dealer offered new Goodrich's for $170/each!

I ordered from Tire Rack instead and will have a local tire place install.

Will get alignment specs from this site...

I feel your pain, I'm at 25 thousand and expect to stop anytime now for either one of my fronts to blow out. I was a late bloomer here to the site, and by the time I'd read about inner tire wear on the Marauders it was too late, the damage was done. So, I'll drive semi-normal until my tires and rims land on my front porch. Which should be today or tomorrow, weeeeeeee!

Mine just came today from Tire Rack...$88 each.

Mine are bald at 21k miles.

I just replaced my OEM tires at 10780. Rear were worn in center to slick, fronts worn on outer edges ( both edges- i rotate).
I also used tire rack and their recommended installer was excellent.

Alignment specs- Have NEVER gotten a straight answer on this site as to correct settings. Dealer has checked my alignment 4 weeks ago and said i was "within specs".

I did hear that 36 psi all around is best for everyday driving

I need to at least do the rears - checked them the other day, worn badly in middle. 20000 miles on the car.

My fronts have 17K on them and they're not even 1/2 down.

Wierd.

Now the rears...we won't even talk about those :D

There is a post arouns here somewhere that we got a quote from a BF Goodwrench Tire Developer
and he stated that RWD Performance Sedans will benefit from a 5 -7 psi INCREASE.
So you should run your tires anywhere from 38 - 42 PSI...

I run my at 38 front and rear...
I got 20k with .2" left of tread on the rears before I switched them out.

Now I'm waiting for Jack Frost to go into hibernation so I can put them on...

Aggressive camber plus aggressive driving equals worn fronts on insides. Camber is aggressive to help a 4600 lb car turn like a Porsche, not a bad trade-off IMHO. Rear center wear.... Who said this car won't spin the tires? Don't expect 50K miles on Z rated tires, to me, anything over 20-25K is bonus. One of the big reasons I bought this car was to use up some tires anyway. :D

I just checked mine because of posts here. At 17,500 there is plenty of tread left on the rears. The centers are a worn a little more but still good.
I pump up to 36 psi when down to 34-35 psi.

Waiting on the leaders with the new BFG style tires to get some miles on and write up a review. I like the pattern.

I was looking at mine after 5000 miles and thought maybe I should let out a little pressure, from 35 to 25. Traction seemed better but I wound up replacing them at 7000 miles last October.

I have a buddy that works as a writer at the local Firestone and he got me stock rears for $81 each, installed and balanced. Tire rack had them at that same price at the time.

WOW How did you manage to get 5800 miles on your car:rofl:800 miles to Alternative Auto, 800 miles back home and 4200 miles of :burn:

Just went in the garage, 5946 miles. Car will be 3 years old on 6/13/05.
( I should have about 20,000 miles when the car is 10 years old!) :P

A buddy has a Honda SC2000. He says that bald tires are just natures way of reminding you that had fun driving the car.

I dunno though, still sucks to spend the money on tires.

Me too, me too!!! Same wear patterns. 20000 miles, noticed rears were getting less traction, even with traction control on. Getting price quotes from local tire place I trust. Will have to do rears first, then fronts in another month or two. Can't afford to do all at once.

Just think of all the guys and gals we keep employed at the tire factory. :-)

Well now just how did THAT happen?!?

Can you believe I had the same problem?

FYI to all, constantly search on EBAY for the OEMs, I just picked up two brand new rears never mounted for $200.00 which included shipping.
