Production numbers for the Mercury Marauder:

2003 - 7839 (328 Blue, 417 Silver, rest black .. 7094)

2004 - 3213 (980 DTR, 997 Silver, 1236 Black)

Total production, 03 and 04 was 11,052

Only three of them were made "Exactly". :rofl: All the rest have minor defects ... but we don't really care !!! 'Cause its the grin that counts. :D

11,052 were sold ,but their was 2 Concept car's built ,so the totle is 11,054.

They will probably only be in service for 2 to 3 years. Most Police Departments have a mileage limit before the auction/sell their vehicles.

Question: what positions of the VIN indicate the sequence number within the model year? So I have a 2004 ... I'd like to know what # of 1236 it is.
