Sunday morning, mid 70s, blue sky. Thought I might take a run out to Holiday Park there on the edge or just about in the Everglades. Great Sunday morning place for motorcycles. Pulled into the local Amoco on the way. Went into "sticker shock." $2.25 for premium. Filled up then went to look for a defibulator. Just the beginning.

Great, something else I can blame the Administration for.

Mike:mad2: I heard on the news that all gas will go up a aveage of .35-.40 cents a gallon by summer. I guess we all can thank President Bush for that.

Correct me if i'm wrong, which does happen a lot, but when bush first decided to send troops into the middle east, weren't lower gas prices something we were told would be a benifit of the situation? I remember that he never specifically said that the only reason we were goin over was to get oil, but i think i remeber hearing that he did offer up an excuse of cheaper gas prices as to why it is a good idea for the commonm folk to back him up.

DISCLAIMER: All that being said, know i am not marginalizing any of our service men and women fighting for us right now. I do not agree with this war, nor do I agree with this administration, this is my opinion. If you do agree with what is going on with the war or the admin., then that is your opinion too and i do respect yours so please do not flame me for mine. Being said that i do not agree with these 2 things, i totally back all of our fighting men and women over there. They are doing there job, and they are doing a good one at that. Keep up the great work guys and God bless!!

I think what was said was that Iraq's oil would pay us back for what we were going to spend. Of course, that was to follow being greeted by rose petals being thrown at our feet for freeing them.

I wish I was paying $2.25.....here in Vancouver, nice Sunday morning the price for premium at my local Esso is $1.06 per litre. Converting that to US gallons and US $ = $3.26 per gallon. If you remove all of the Federal and Provincial taxes it would probably be a 1/3rd. What are you going to do.....

Its the same old February-March :bs: "We gotta raise gas prices because of short supply, increased demand, hot summers, cold winters, and round tires." We hear this every year at the same time and seem surprised. The oil companies want to drop the hammer now before they post their year end profits for 2004 around the end of March. Last year is was a mere $35+ Billion in profits. We are so gullible !!!

I guess we all can thank President Bush for that.
Nope .... you can blame Big Oil and greedy CEOs for this one.

I'd gladly pay $5.00 a gallon -- as long as I dont have to duck every time a plane flys overhead!! Maybe we should thank the President for that!!

If by 'us' you mean Halliburton, then I guess it was sorta true.

They don't get any "bigger" oil than the Bush's and the Cheneys.

See this is where my argument rules come into effect. There are three things that I will never, EVER, argue with someone about: Religion, Politics, and Music. No matter how intellegent or well formed your argument is you will never influence the other persons ideas. The same goes the other way around, no matter how well formed or intellegent their argument your opinion will never be changed. The only things that will come of arguments like that are hot tempers and hurt feelings. So at this point i'm bowing out of this thread.:run:
