I have never found a car I really fit in well. (im 6'6" 270) I drove a Marauder for the first time the other day and it fit good but not great. Maybe 2-3 inches further back might actually make it great...

I am buying a Marauder (having it shipped down) in the next week and would like to know if someone makes a bracket to move the seats back further...?

Kenny Brown makes brackets to move the Mustang seats back 4 inches. I dont have their catalog and their website isnt operational so I cant see if they make something for our cars.

If someone does make one I would like to get it ordered so when I get my car I will have the bracket..

Anyonehave any advice????

Their is a pin at the end of the track, remove it and it's adds an about one inch.

I have looked to moving the seats back but then you wind up going passed the side air bag:mad:

ps:6'6" 350 :)

Good point... I didnt think about the side airbag....

Maybe that 1 inch might help... I'll have to look at it when I get the car next week.

Guys, side airbag is built into the upper seat.

I think I could CNC something like what your looking for. However it would raise the seat by about 3/8"-1/2".

I'd try the pin removal with pedals all the way down first, if its still not enuff... give me some time to see what I can dream up.

My youngest is 6'5". He takes the seat out and moves the track further back. Don't really know all the safety factors related to this, but he has been doing this 15 years. Had one tree jump out in front of him once, seat held.
Just an opinion.

Yes I thought of that but the seat almost lines up with the door pillar?
In a side crash you could be hurt?
My big issue is headroom, already took the sunvisor off so I can see

I'd be concerned about the strength of the seat mounting if you weren't using the stock mounting holes. Maybe you could make a set of plates that had two holes in each, one hole would bolt to the floor and one would bolt to the seat track.

Thanks for all the responses guys...

I guess my first mod to the car will be to remove the pin.. Even an inch willmake a difference. Hopefully enough. If not I may pursue some sort of brackets..

Thanks all.

Good grief! Just how tall ARE you guys?!
I'm 6'-1", and if I put the seat all the way back and the pedals all the way down, I seriously doubt that I'd even be able to touch the pedals.

I'm a semi-midget at 6'3"....

The seats & legroom are perfect for me. It's the only car I've owned where I can stretch my legs out until my knees are not bent!

I think the PC correct terminology is height challanged.

Only 6'1"?? yes he could be in a remake of the Wizard of Oz.

mercman - I think the PC correct terminology is height challanged.
That should read ... vertically challenged.

FYI ... Bald = foliliclely challenged.

I washed and vacuumed out the Marauder yesterday (outside) and I noticed when I moved the seats up & back, how much more leg room there is on the drivers side.
It's been two years since I removed the stop pin in the drivers seat track.
No ill effects so far and the cheapest mod I have done to the Marauder.
I've heard guys say, "I got tons of leg room", then I insist they try sitting in the drivers seat of the Marauder I modified.
You may find more is good!

I am 6'4 and the MM is just perfect with the seat all the way back and the pedals all the way forward. If I was an inch or 2 taller I would also want an inch or more room too. But they just call me skinny @185 lbs. this is the heaviest I have ever been.

I remember 185 and 6-4" was about your age too. Tom

It's not the forward or back, for leg room it's for the height of the seat. i feel like i'm setting on top of the hood, not down in a cockpit like i prefer. It is sort of a missle anyway!

I'm 6'2'' 260lbs and have the seat back all the way and the pedals pushed back all the way and still find myself moving my legs around to get comfy (knee hits my keys) and I do sit up straight. I have long legs for my height. I will have to check out that pin and remove it and see what happens.

Is there a pin on the passenger side also?

Nice to be 5'10, not too midgety, not too gargantuan. :)

Ditto - 6'4" and now a svelt 316. I have no issues with the leg room.:banana2: But I have to admit I have even more room in the truck.

Now I feel like a dwarf, I'm only 6'5", back to the rack to get stretched some more.

Never realized I married a Semi-midget (6'3). But can't wait to tell him! Anyway, he seems to fit in my Marauder. (a BIG consideration before purchase) LOL

I know it's an old thread but I was bored and did it. Man what a big difference an inch makes, no more crimps in my right leg with having to lay it weird anymore.
