It's the week after FFW..... but it includes a car show sponsored by Year One, autocrossing at Road Atlanta, AND bracket racing at Atlanta Dragway.
and this:
The Year One Experience Parade Laps
Think you have to be a professional race-car driver to get on the Road Atlanta road course? Think again! As part of the 2005 Year One Experience we are offering you the chance to drive your own vehicle around the scenic, undulating 2.54-mile Road Atlanta Grand Prix course.
Parade Laps will be offered to participants and spectators alike on Friday and Saturday during specified times. Please see the schedule in the Official Program for Parade Lap times.
To ensure safety while on the track, Parade Lap participants will follow a pace car and speeds will not exceed those experienced on the highway. There is a $15 charge to participate in Parade Laps.
AND THIS!!!!
The Year One Experience Road Atlanta Track Day
Ok, you’ve done the autocross, the Parade Laps, and even the Hot Laps in a Panoz GT car. Are you ready for the ultimate Road Atlanta performance experience? If so, the special Year One Experience Road Atlanta Track Day is for you.
The Track Day has been designed by Year One and the Panoz Racing School to allow you to experience, in your own car, the challenging Road Atlanta road course at speed. Explore the limits of your track-worthy vehicle, and your abilities, in a controlled environment at the Track Day.
Here’s how the Track Day will work. First off, the participant’s vehicle will be checked to ensure it’s safe for high-speed track use. (Click here for the technical inspection forms.) After vehicle tech inspection, each participant will undergo approximately 45 minutes of classroom instruction. The classroom session will cover basic car control techniques, track etiquette, and the racecourse in detail. After the classroom session, participants will get guided tours around the track in a Panoz Racing School van. As the van makes its way around the track, the instructor will be showing the participants the proper line through the corners and answering questions from the participants. Once the van tour is over, the participants will get into their cars and follow the Panoz Racing School pace car. The pace car will moderate the pace of the on-track activities based on the skill levels of the drivers in that particular group. Beginners can expect a moderate pace to start out, with increasing speeds as the day progresses. Be forewarned, however, that “moderate” to the driving instructor in a high-performance vehicle is pretty darn fast to everyone else! For intermediate participants, which are those that have participated in driving schools and/or Track Days before, the pace will be quicker at the start and progress from there.
Some specifics:
Due to the high-performance nature of the track day, cars only are allowed to participate. No trucks, SUVs or motorcycles will be allowed to participate.
Each vehicle must pass a Panoz Racing School technical inspection before being allowed to participate.
A participant medical form must be completed and submitted to the Panoz Racing School instructors at the beginning of the track day. Click here for the medical form.
There will be at least two 20-minute track sessions for each participant in his or her vehicle.
There will be two Track Day groups – morning and afternoon. Please select the group you would like to participate in when registering for the Track Day. Please note, however, that each group is limited to 40 participants and your chosen group may be full at the time of your registration.
Participants must be at least 18-years old and possess a valid driver’s license.
The fee for the Track Day is $125.00 per participant with the purchase of at least a spectator ticket.
Space for the Track Day is extremely limited! Reserve your spot early!

I'm thinking maybe skipping FFW for this, especially since the drags (which run all day) can be watched at night, too. Wheel standers and Jet Cars at 9:00 PM each night!!!!!

Yeah it seemed cool for the price I got a ticket 50 bucks 3 day participant. I figured the dyno is worth that much at least.
Also it would be nice for a MM to rank in the Open Class show.

Donny, this sounds really interesting. I'm not sure my MM is up to taking on the track. I am having Addco sway bars and Metco control arms installed this weekend but I don't think that the MM will handle as well as:

I may need to give this event a try.
