 I would like to install a bracket for my sat. receiver in the carpeted area on the passenger side. Is there anything I should worry about like wires, linkage and so on . Any info would be great. Thanks

Have you considered a ProFit vehicle specific mount? They make one that fits the Crown Vic/ GM/ Marauder.

I think there is a wire harness on that side, runs along there. To look in there is easy enough, open the center console lid, the 'bucket and lid are held in by 5 'tabs' with spring clips, 3 on the driver side, 2 passenger, just gently pry around until you get the rear ones started out, use wide putty knife to avoid boogering up the plastic.

Disconnect the power outlet connector and you should be able to see all the way up there, if you need a hint more room (without total disassembly) then pop up the rear of the center trim panel (cup holders) it will give you an additional 1/2" clearance. You could remove the oil/volt gauge cluster, same sort of spring/tabs, then the whole center trim piece comes out, but I dont think you'll need to go that far.

You might even be able to get a backing plate in behind there. Anyway good luck!
