Do a search for supercharger wars, this will lead you to your answer!

Try here for starters:
http://www.mercurymarauder.net/forums/showthread.php?t=3746&highlight=supercharger+wars

some backstory on this topic for noobs; each time it comes up, well respected posters can get tossed out for $#%^$!!!!

I'll be the first one I guess, not giving an opion, but asking a question. Do you have $15,000 or so dollars to get a KB Marauder or only $6,000 to get a Trilogy S/C? Use the search feature and find what direction you want to take your car. Nither one might fit what you are looking for and you might have to do more to your car like Marty did.

SIR, Drop the thread!! Place your hands on your head! Good! Now, step away from the thread, slowly!!

Not tryin to sound like a jerk, but i searched it too, and WOW, bad things happen when this question is asked. Do what other members have already suggested and search. That's how i made my decision. You can ask for opinions all you want and if you decide based on that you have made a bad decision. Even if a decision is right for you, if you made it based on incomplete information without finding out all the facts, it is the wrong choice. Do research and decide for yourself.

Read 2 books, "Supercharged" by Corky Bell and 4.6 Mod Motor by Sean Hyland.

The Trilogy is a supercharger system.

The Kenny Brown in addition to S/C is also brakes, suspension and tires.

True but IHOP has the rooty tooty fresh and fruity breakfest, all denny's has is the grand slam,so there's really not much of a comparison there!

Read 2 books, "Supercharged" by Corky Bell and 4.6 Mod Motor by Sean Hyland.

The Trilogy is a supercharger system.

The Kenny Brown in addition to S/C is also brakes, suspension and tires.I think this^answer in the above quote is the best and most applicable one in this entire thread. And I read that first book that was mentioned before I decided on a S/cer for my Marauder. Great book!! Other than that, the only thing that I'll add is that you should PM some of us who happen to have Supercharged Marauders, and I can assure you that atleast some of us (but hopefully all of us) will give you some striaght forward, and honest answers about this topic. Anything over and above that mentioned here in this thread would likely cause endless debating for nothing. Especially if you aren't even planning on spending the coin for a S/Ced Marauder soon anyway. But if you are, then I suggest you do what I mentioned using the Private Message system here.

Oh, BTW, incase you don't already know this......the Trilogy S/Cer kit includes an Eaton M112 roots type supercharger, while the Kenny brown Marauder package includes a centrifugal type supercharger. So these are two different types of S/Cers you're asking about. Perhaps you already were aware of that, but I thought that I'd make mention of it incase you didn't know. BTW, enjoy your Nitrous Oxide injection. It should deliver plenty of power if done right. Unlike S/Cing, it will also bring with it the inconvenience and expense of having to drive across town every week to fill up that bottle, but the initial investment is ofcourse less than it would be for a S/Cer. So it's a trade-off.

First off, I've never literally laughed at a thread. Never. This gone dun it.

Second off, upon signing up new members should get this in their E-mail (Which is an easy thing to do)

"No Oil Threads."
"No Supercharger Threads."
"No Impala SS Threads."
"No IHOP or Denny's Threads."

We all know IHOP has nothing good on their menu except for the chicken tenders.

I contacted Kenny Brown in April of 2003, almost 2 years ago. I went there because it was one stop shopping, complete package, that's what I wanted. Take the car to one place for 3 weeks and get EVERYTHING done. That was about the only choice back then anyway.... It's easy 2 years later, more guys are doing it. More choices. We all know so much more about these cars... Having said that, if I was going to do this today, I'd do the same thing.

OK, I understand this new member doesn't have the benefit of the long history of this site that a lot of us have. So, he asked "which is better," not knowing what a firestorm he would start.
Maybe those of us who have been around longer could be a little mature about the question (Heaven forbid!) and read his question to have said "What are the relative benefits of each of the two packages?"
Then we could politely discuss the issue in those terms, listing facts as facts, and opinions as opinions.
Now play nice and don't make me stop this car and come back there!

NOS! Don't make me laugh. (get it, laugh? laughing gas? forget it)

Nobody here has mentioned the very cost effective $124.99 supercharger (http://www.mercurymarauder.net/forums/showthread.php?t=14985&highlight=supercharger) we discussed. <CLICK ?<u the at there>
Or maybe you could save some bucks and make one for yourself from an RV bathroom exhaust fan and duct tape.

I just did a search for the word "supercharger and there's 500 threads here that have the word in them.

Good luck searching. Welcome a broad! :D
