Can I use my Metco carbon fiber air intake tube with the K&N FIPK for the Marauder? I know the K&N kit comes with its own tube, but I'd rather use the Metco tube for looks. Are they the same length?

I'll send you a PM once I get home from work with some mesurements if no one else can help. I've seen the Metco tube, and from memory its wider than the K&N and as far as lenght, I dont recall. But with the supplied hoses it might still work.

Here's Todd's Metco hooked up to a Lightning MAF and conical filter -

And here's my K&N intake -

Here's another angle of Todd's setup:

Thanks for the pics, Donny. It definitely does look like the Metco tube would be too short. Ah well, it was a nice idea while it lasted. :)

Hey fourth....why not use your metco tube, and create the extentions and such to make it happen? Go buy a conical filter...and 'get'r done'.;)

It's certainly a possibility. The only reservation I have is that I'm quite fanatical about having my engine bay look sharp. I'd prefer one clean piece of tubing from the throttle body down to the MAF. I'll have to look around, though. I might be able to fabricate something that would look good.

Then you'll want one of these also:

Hehe. I wasn't saying that the included K&N tube wouldn't work. I was just hoping I could keep my Metco carbon fiber tube. It looks nicer.

Ya think so ?

I've seen them both....and yes Rick, the metco c/f is far more appealing to the eye.

Just outrageously overpriced!

That's why I will never have one of those.:P

It was "I'm not leaving MV II without buying something I don't need" syndrome, for me.
