WHAT A MEET!!!!!!

Our 3rd annual East Coast Marauder Meet in East Meadow, Long Island was a huge success.

Pulling into Hooters, we were immediately greeted by the Long Island Super Sport Team (LISST). Some of the hottest Impala SS’s in the New York area were on display A nice group of guys who enjoyed sharing the place with our Marauder Club. They had about 35 cars there, so we need more members to join us at these meets so we don’t get outdone by these boys. Except for 1 blue, 2 silver and 1 dtr Marauder, the parking lot was wall to wall black American muscle cars.

Inside, we had a great time. The group consists of some of the nicest, friendly people around. They immediately make you feel comfortable. No one feels like an outsider. I’m proud to be part of this group.

After lunch, we went to the local park for some picture taking and showing off. As always, it turned into a burnout exhibition.

Here are a couple of highlights:
1) MTAMERC9 (Eddie) just bought his car a few days ago and this was his first meet. You couldn’t meet a happier guy.
2) Another new member who joined us was Dark Knight 7096 (Martin) representing the New Jersey area. He will be a member for life.
3) Defyant (Charlie) ordered a trilogy s/c. It is being put together now and should be shipped shortly.
4) Effster (Jeff) showed up with one of the most impressive, violent Marauders I’ve ever seen. If you want to know what the 4.6 Marauder can be, then look at his car. Effster owns an S&K Speed Shop on Long Island. He knows Marauders. He knows 4.6’s. And he knows how to do it right. If you’re serious about your car and horsepower, then you should give him a call.
4) Valkyrie (Harry) has started building a website to compliment the MM.Net website. It’sBAMMO.Net. It’s not fully operational yet but it’s getting there. Go there and sign onto the member list.

I would like to make this final point. The MercuryMarauder.Net is one of the finest car sites anywhere. It’s full of great info, stories, and links. Visiting this site is good but you’re only getting half the benefit of owning a Marauder if you don’t get out to the local meets. You’re missing half of the experience of owning one of the most unique cars and belonging to the best car club around. The weather should be turning nice soon. Take a ride out to your next local meet. You will not be disappointed.

See you at the next meet.

Join in and enjoy the ride…..

Route 24 must be the Hempstead Turnpike?? Boulevard?? Our place at that time was only about 250 feet from the Meadowbrook Parkway. Man, that's been 25 years ago ..... time does fly !!! :D

Okay,

Lets see if I can do this...
Here is a PANORAMIC photo of the parking lot....

This was resized to fit the site.
If you've like it as a viewable postcard, or the actual jpg, send me a PM with an email address.
The file is 3.5MB, so you'd better have room for it !!!
