There's another thread about this site somewhere.

If memory serves - the site belongs to our own NBC Shooter, who documented the horrible condition he got his Marauder in from the dealer.

I have a 300a and my paint is all messed up in many areas of the car. It has the orange peel look in some areas as well. Im trying to get my car re painted under warrenty. I heard that most black 03's had bad paint jobs

Yup. Mostly the black ones. Mine was December/02, and has bad orange peel on the pillar behind the rear doors. The inside of the rear doors shows primer through the paint, and the paint chips when photons bounce off it.
My dealer has been putting me off for over a year now.

My paint is horrible, and I am way beyond the point of Ford L/M doing anything about it on their dime.
I'll take care of it after the car is payed off.
I want ghost flames anyway...

Paint issues....So many of us with these paint problems. We need to get together and confront Ford Motor. The dealer turns us away and makes excuses like, "its acid rain, bird poop, etc." Now if 10 or more show up at the dealership, same cars, same issue, what you think the dealer will say/do then?

My 03 300A doesn't have any orange peel affect, but is sure does scratch and chip easy.

I want ghost flames anyway...:cool:I thought the prior owner of my car was just really bad with keeping the car clean. Figured I'd just get the car repainted in time and do my best until then. Dark grey on black flames might look good.

When I got mine used back in Oct '04 it was a dark dreary day and the car was clean at the dealership so I couldn't make out all the flaws. But alas, I too have all the proverbial pits, discolorations, and overspray on different parts of the car. If we stand together maybe they will listen. I'm game.

I have a deep scratch on my hood(stone??) and a gouge in the plastic rear bumper (self-inflected :bigcry: :bigcry: in my garage)
I'm going to have to find a good place(really good ) to trust my MM too. East side of Detroit area. Does any-one have a good place to refer me too? My dealer (Maxy) said he had a good guy, I really really don't like going to the dealer unless it's warrenty work and then not really unless it't going to cost me big $$$$ to do it myself, this is going to cost me anyway so I may as well try to find someone with a good rep. for doing great work.

There is a large amount of Motor City guys on this site, I'm sure some of them can point you in the right direction, make sure you go to a meet.

Thanks, I'm planning on going :D :D . I really hate to show up with an 04 with scratches. All the pics these guys at MCM post are really awesome. Besides it's my pride and joy and an I want to keep it at it's sharpest.

I just got done waxing my car and was feeling a little guilty about all of the imperfections (chips, etc). After checking out this guys pics again, I'm feeling a little better :)

Is it just black Marauders, or do all of them? I am thinking of buying a silver one, but I am not so sure if I want one if all have this problem. :bigcry:

The silver ones dont have too many problems. Most of them are good. I have a lot of overspray on my car and it drives me absolutly NUTS. Everytime i clean and wax my car I say to myself...Dam I need to have the car re painted. Hopefully the dealer will help me out and re paint it for me ( wishfull thinking )
