Anybody know the status of Trilogy S/C viz the California authorities? Is it legal yet?

Based on what Jerry Barnes had stated in his last post about this topic, I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for this to happen if I were you. he was saying that it would take a rediculous amount of $$ to get the S/Cer kit C.A.R.B. certified, and that it was such a costly endeavor that it wouldn't be worht it for his company to do. Atleast not for the Marauder, since they were such a low production car.

... Atleast not for the Marauder, since they were such a low production car.

If they got their blower CARB legal it would apply to all cars not just Marauders, so I disagree with this excuse. Basically, it is not worth it because it is not cost effective, period - not due to limited Marauder production or low potential sales.

Also, keep in mind that the Vortech blower is CARB certified and has the CARB plaque on it, however it does not pass California smog tests, so the 'CARB' certification is not always a guarantee you will pass or meet California requirements.

As the owner of the only S/C MM in California, lots of information to pass. My car runs FL plates, non-resident military status. Even with my situation, it's a tough journey. Not going to pass any info in the open thread, but happy to discuss by pm, phone, or face to face. Many thanks to the folks who have seen or driven my MM for keeping the issues out of the thread. .But their supercharger kit for the Marauder is specific to marauder only, and is NOT made for any other cars. Number one......

Number two......the Supercharger that Trilogy uses is NOT manufactured by them, but is an Eaton M112 S/Cer......

number three......the kits Trilogy is producing for Mustangs and fr the F-150 trucks are an entirely different set-up since those vehicles have different valave and cylinder head configurations. trilogy Motorsports is an enginnering company. they are NOT a Supercharger manufacturer. So much for your claim of false excuses.

Actually, you are not alone in the CA S/C MM catagory. Read all about it. (http://mercurymarauder.net/forums/showthread.php?t=7510&highlight=hansel)

What is your glitch? - besides almost every post you do is combative. Billy G Man knows all. :bows: :bows:

The point I was making is that ANY aftermarket superchager on ANY make or model of car in California is asking for trouble.

Put an Eaton on a 4.6 DOHC Mustang in California and you have the same problem. It is not specific to 'Marauders'.

Billy G Man knows all. :bows: :bows: <--That's what my "glitch" was...your choice of words, and how you chose to express yourself. You didn't make yourself clear, and your words seemed to include a challenge, just as the sarcasm above does.

The point I was making is that ANY aftermarket superchager on ANY make or model of car in California is asking for trouble.Thankyou for clarifying that.
