This isn't about the Marauder engine. This relates to a chevy 350 with around 400hp. The Marauder will be back in a week or so. Anyway the chevy engine seems to leak only on the right side and has only done this is the past month or so. Before that it was fine, but it went down hill after I had an engine fire. My machanic told me that it could be one of the valve covers that warped from the fire. We have tried changing gaskets which helped, but the problem came back in full 3 days later. Heres what happens: I'll drive it normal and it's fine, but if I drive it for 4 hours straight I will have 0 oil pressure when I finally come to a stop. I put in 1 quort this morning and when I got done with my long weekend commute it wanted 2 more. Could this one cover solve this very frustrating problem. :mad2:

Is'nt the fuel pump on the right front of a Crappy (ops,Chitty) motor?

Do you have a leak or does the pressure just work it's way to 0?

It leaks to the right. Heres what I just found out...... I took the valve covers off and their grounded on the corners! Theres no solid seal! Who would do that and whats the purpose?

Your mechanic tried changing the gaskets and DIDN'T NOTICE THIS ???

The gaskets are fresh. Like only 2 weeks old. I'm putting on the new ones tomorrow or the day after. Whenever they come in. I'll give him the bill.

I wish you luck with that.

The new ones came in a they don't fit because I have performance done and need a tall valve cover size. Now all I can do is wait for better fitting ones.
