I would do a Built Motor Vortech JT Trim with water to air after cooler. Built transmission, 410 gears ADDCO Rear sway Bar PI 3500 stall converter MMDS KVR Brake kit. Rear engine colling kit, Kooks or my exhaust. Pauls or Metco Control arms, some widened rims with Nittos, and upgraded guages

You can find a wealth of information by searching the forums and visiting our vendor sites.

First, $6000 for this Cobra 5.2L stroker shortblock (http://www.seanhylandmotorsport.com/gt-cobra-shortblocks.shtml) (part# 82500) from Sean Hyland, then another $6000 for this turbo from Pro Turbo Kits (http://66.70.20.245/store/scripts/prodView.asp?idproduct=78) (add Greddy type-S bypass valve and t-bolt clamps), then about $3000 for an under/overdrive gearbox (http://www.gearvendors.com/prices.html) from Gear Vendors, if I can find a way to program a two position Deltachip that will let me hook the two together (4.62 gears for the strip, 2.48 for the salt flats). :D

The other $5000 for a matching leather padded roll cage, guages, other incidentals and bling stuff.

David I would do a search of the Mustang sites on this Turbo Kit company. I have considered it Tod just bought Constables car, and we were going that route till we did some checking, so now we are going a different route. As far as the stroker aspect some have gone this way and others have just gone with a built 4.6 non stroked. the secret to real power is in the heads, Ron at Fox Lake has done four engines for me and all of them have made very good power with stock cams, yes big cams make good power but they also kill the idle quality of the car, and present a whole different issue on tuning.

Already did also, LOL. Dennis did a super job! There are about 23k miles on the car now.

Next is QA1 shocks, Accufab intake, Carbon Fiber Radiator Cover, under hood and under trunk liners, and considering a few other ideas.

Now if folks could just stop coming up with more new products, it could be easy to leave the car alone, but probably not. -kjs-

$20K you say? This is what I would do......

First, I'd seriously consider the possibility of a five speed manual transmission, and I'd look into the options for that. If I decided to stay with an automatic, then I'd just perform the "J-mod" and reserve $3K just incase the auto trans blows on you down the road. I can name two members on here who were told that their rebuilt Marauder transmissions were "bullit proof" and they blew them anyway. Automatic transmissions are simply a weak link no matter what you do to them. Under really high HP conditions, they will only last so long.

Next, I'd call Lidio (alternative automotive which has a forum on this board) about installing 31 spline axles, and along with that installing an Eaton posi rear with either 4.10 gears, or 4.56's depending on how much you choose to race it at the drag strip. If the car will see little drag strip use, and much more street use, go with the 4.10 gears. But for ultimate quartermile ET's and 1.5 second 60 foot times, you cannot beat 4.56's on a Marauder, and I've proven that with my car. My car tunrs 1.6 second 60 foot times with only 9.5 PSI of boost.

Next, I'd also get an iron Cobra shortblock, and bolt up the Marauder heads to it, along with a Trilogy S/Cer kit, and I'd have it installed by Lidio of Alternative automotive with a 2.8" pully, which will give you a 13.5-14 PSI boost pressure with 460 RWHP (which would be about 550 HP at the crankshaft). You'll also need a driveshaft upgrade. (either a Dynotech, or one from denny's driveshaft). Last, get two new Marauder mags from Lidio, and have him get them widened to 9.5" for you for the P305/45/18R Nitto drag radials.

your Marauder will be well into the 11 second bracket with the above combo, and will have a durable drivetrain other than perhaps the automatic transmission, which you might only get 15,000 miles out of, before having to rebuild it. I think everything I've mentioned can be had for $20K, but you'll have to add it up to be certain.
