Just wanted to share with the MM community - I just got home tonight with a 2004 Silver Birch with the moon roof. What started out as a compromise back in December '04 (getting a 4 door sedan for the growing family) has turned out to be, what my wife would call, an obsession. So, the MACH 1 is now history. I'll miss her, but the last couple of times I took the car out for a weekend ride, I did not really enjoy it that much. Now, plant my butt in a MM and I grin from ear to ear. Its the same stupid grin I've had since I got the '03 back in December.:)

Also, thanks to RoyLPita for running the OASIS on the car.

I've enjoyed my silver 04 very much. Easy to keep clean and at car shows some have remarked they wished they had bought silver as it does not show the paint imperfections as much. Also the local cops tend not to pay as much attention to it as black or red tends to draw their attention much quicker.

Not yet 24 hours and I have heard the same feedback from co-workers. They like the silver better than the black.

I gotta say, though, that we all went downstairs to look at the boss's brand new Mercedes SL 500. The gang looked at my car second. Nobody did cart-wheels after seeing the SL first. THat ok, though. The SL depreciated as much as the 35k sticker on my car when the SL rolled of the lot.

I'm really bummed ;) , but my wife will have nothing to do with either car. Just too bad. ;):D;):D

Guess I won't have any "gee, I don't know how that happened" damage on either car.

Have a silver 04 myself and kinda agree with your thoughts on color.....however, ya still gotta admit there isn't a better looking MM than a freshly washed and waxed black one, IMHO. BTW, congratulations jjaguda on your second MM....enjoy.

"You can have it in any color . . . ."

I went to the Home Depot last week in the Black MM. The parking lot was kinda empty. Still, I parked several spaces away from the building. One of the garden section employees said "that thing is so mean looking that it looks like it could get a speeding ticket standing still.":burnout:

Thats cool.:banana2:
