Oh no - power steering line problem?

Thanks to MM2004 for the pictures and description.

Now, I was attempting to install this thing when I notice that my power steering line (from the cooler to the rack, item 6 on diagram A0045557, page 211-02-1 of the Service Manual) is loose.

It's in a tricky spot, so I can't tell if it's supposed to move a little (like a swivel) or if there's something wrong.

Does anyone know?

Can anyone who has recently attached their oil deflector tell me if their line is loose or solid?

(This is not the line that the deflector attaches to, BTW.)

OK,.. I think it's a swivel. It's hard to tell from above,.. and only slightly easier from below. I couldn't see where the line connected though.

It's either a swivel or mine it loose too. I can't tell if there's a leak because there's a bunch of oil from my last oil change. :rolleyes: I'll have to install my deflector soon.

DonaldDrobin's right. FMC power steering pressure lines have been like that for quite a while.
