I noticed a blower by Weland for $2099.99 in Jegs and $1,328.88 in an Advance Auto Parts catolog. Same model and they don't charge for shipping. This is not for a Marauder, but why such a big difference?

Because that's just the price for a supercharger alone. Some of the superchargers available for the Marauder come with complete kits. the price you've quoted is not for a kit at all. A complete kit will include the folowing:
supercharger
intercooler
heat exchanger
electric water pump (for the intercooler)
a custom made alternator relocating bracket
hoses
belts
belt tensioner
emissions pipes and fittings
special intake manifold needed for the S/Cer
bigger fuel injectors
and a chip included with a special engine tune
electronic fuel pump amplifier
custom coolant resovior
now go ahead and price all of the above items (however, you won't find many of them sold anywhere since Trilogy Motorsports had some of these items custom made for their kit) and your price tag will go a lot higher than what you've mentioned. :)

My Bro-in law said the same thing to me."Man the roots S/C for the MM is pricey!"
He had just sold a Vortec to a buddy off his '94 stang. To go to a 408 stroker.I asked him how much was the Vortec? He said "two thousand and...."I asked if the bigger injectors were included ? "No" was the answer to every related part that is necessary to S/C a motor. If you added it all up what did it cost you to put a centrifical S/C on your mustang? He thought for a moment and replied "I don-no about five grand."
I remarked"How long did it take you to configure this system?"He said several months(winter project)"I said
"How many mustangs are produced Vs. MM's?"
Do you think there is a benifit to a proven, engineered ,all inclusive kit?For about a grand more, The roots system looks like it was meant to be there. And no guess work. How many choices do Mustang owners have to supercharge thier cars?
I would think thier would be more choices with a Mustang than a MM.

Bradley GYes, there are. There are two different companies (Whipple, and Kenne Belle) who offer Twin screw S/Cer kits for the mustang, and the Twin screw S/Cers are the ultimate.

You gotta have a super-charged bank account or a super charged credit card before you can get a super-charged car!!!
If I had the $$$$, my car would be pointed south toward Dennis' shop.
Yes, no need to re-invent the wheel -A complete kit from a reputable vendor who has learned the bugs and pitfalls and how to avoid them is most people's best bet, unless you have the time, engergy, knowledge, experience and desire to do it all yourself "from scratch."

Maybe because JEGS, likes to 'enhance' their profit margins ??? :dunno:

Often a dealer can make a better deal with the manufacturer. Or , the manufacturer is also the dealer, thereby cutting out the middle man who puts his chunk on the price.
There could be 50 reasons for the difference. What you need to be sure of is that apples to apples aare being compared, not apples and oranges.

Oh, and there is also the "loss leader" phylosophy.
If you buy their cheaper "x" product, you're more likely to buy the peripherials that you WILL need from them also, at a profit.
