FYI, Tire rack went up to $131 on the rear tires so I went on ebay and found them new from Major Brand in Knox, PA for $80 per with $29 shipping to NC. Got them in 3 days all for $189 instead of $281. willie

They were manufactured the 39th week in 2002.Does that make them fresh or no?

I didn't look at the date on the 4 I got from Tire Rack, but being Ford was thinking 18000 Marauders a year for 3 years I have no dought theres is/was a warehouse someplace with a whole bunch of 245/55 18 in it.

If the tires are new and warehoused inside I wouldn't feel bad about the date, when saving $100 for street tires,I would be concerned if you were talking about track tires....

I did a bunch of searching and most of the info I can dig up says not it doesn't matter if they're new or old. Don't run with anything over 6 yrs old on your car! As some were already saying the oldest these tires should be is 2002 so looks like these are good ones. Mine shipped today! :)

Not sure why, but why?, 100buck savings ain't to shabby.... :coolman:Beacause there is a thin line drawn when it comes to POSTING the name of a vendor, that may have something we could use, and that vendor does NOT contribute to this site.

It's always safer to just post that you KNOW of a really good deal, and have members inundate you with email.

Check The Date On Your Tires !!!

Thanks for saving me a big headache!

I notified the seller that I would not accept any tires made over two years ago as new per his ebay listing.

Our sale transaction was canceled by the seller and my Pay Pal account was credited.

When I pay for new shoes, I want new shoes!

Best Regards,

David

My wife doesn't understand how rear tires on a Marauder may not last that long!:burnout:

mounted up and had all 4 road forced.wow! what a difference at high speeds. The ever so slight(but still annoying) wheel shake at extra legal speeds is completely gone. RoadForce is the only way to go.
