I was looking for some Marauder wheels for the track and Cruztaker suggested Blackburns Hubcap in Ohio. I picked up some full sized spares that had been sprayed black for a sweet deal.

I got them powdercoated by a place called Teff line in Burlington for $40 each.
Here are the after pics:

Why didn't you powdercoat the inside of the RIM ?
It needs to be protected from the moisture in the air inside the tire,
unless you plan on filling your tires with NITROGEN.

Wesman, what did they charge you for that? They look very very nice!

They do look nice, but they strike me as something that will scratch very easily...?

I've had many different engine and suspension pieces powdercoated and have found the coatings to be thick and tough.....resistent to dings, chips and scratches.
Brake fluid does not touch the powdercoating either.

Nice Looking Rims!

It was $40 Canadian each. I really hope they don't easily scratch, but they are for racing only anyways, they are going to get beat up.

I have had bumpers powdercoated and they never chipped. Powcercoat is very tough.

Powdercoat properly applied and baked is hard as rock and won't scratch any more than the paint on your car or the polish on the rims.

I assume they clearcoated over the powdercoat. Most places do.

Overall you did good. Torrie told me you bought those ugly ass wheels, but wouldn't tell me what he charged you.... I hear it was a good deal.

He can't keep a MMwheel on the shelf for long since I started redirecting all you folks to his shop. I think he has one maybe two right now.

I like your results, and let me tell you, mine, being completely coated inside and out, clearcoated, and outer rim polished, ran $275 a wheel. You got a bargain man!
