Hi everyone, first time posting on this board as I dont own a marauder at this point. I have been reading the posts on this board and have alot of good information about the car. I am at a point now where I think I found the car I want and would like some opinions on the price that I am about to pay.
Car is an 04 DTR with 6000 miles. Options are...moonroof, cd changer, trunk organizer, adjustable pedals, heated seats, engine block heater(Not that I care as I am moving to Tampa in 6 months). The stereo has a factory amp. Not sure if all of them had this or not. Im also not sure if some of the options I listed come with all the marauders. I am just listing the things I saw on the car. Anyway....I got them down to $21000. Car has no defects that I can see. What do you guys think?? Advice would really be appreciated.

Welcome aboard. I'm merely going by what I've heard, but $20-$21K sounds about right to me. especially in the case of a low mileage Marauder. Let us know how you do. To my knowledge all of the Maraiders came with adjustable pedals, but not with the rest of the options you've listed. Although most of them that I've seen do have the CD changer and heated seats too for the 04's.

$21K would be darn close for an '04 equipped as you stated above (keep in mind, some of the features you listed are standard) and for the mileage stated.

Try to get them down another $500 - $1K if you can for you to purchase some "goodies" after you've driven it for a while.

But, most importantly...just do it.

EDIT: Man Billy, my friend....you beat me to it....you are such a bully! :P ;)

Welcome to the MM site. :D The price sounds good to me. The Marauder is fully loaded and has very low mileage. Good luck with the purchase.

OK price -

I would advise you to run an OASIS report. If you are buying it from a dealer they can get you one. Oasis will list all the visits and work that has been done at a Mercury Dealership.

:welcome: Price looks very good. Royal will show up after while; give him the SR# and find out if there's been any trouble with it, then if OK, grab it quick. You're gonna love it. I'd say, give 'em some cash, to hold it, while you're checking. :)

I'd give them some cash too. That's a very fair price, and the DTRs aren't as easy to find as Black.

We've had ours for just over a year now... loving every minute of it!

Good luck... now go give them some hand money!

Welcome to the site. Sounds like a reasonable price for that mileage. Just be sure to get that Oasis report. DTR is an awesome color, hope you get it!

Thanks for all the replies everyone. Royal I sent you a PM with the VIN. I think that 21,000 is a fair price as well. What I dont understand is all the dealers in the area that will not even come close to these prices. Most in my area (NY) asking 22-23k for an 03 and 24-26 for an 04. And most will not give up too much. I went to a Linc mercury dealer in LI NY who has a silver 04 with 23k miles and is asking 26,000. They would not even talk to me unless I was willing to pay 24,000 or over. I dont think I can do any better than 21,000 with this car. But I think I am comfortable with that. Royal you can post it on the board for all to see if you like.

I'll get your report for you in the morning. You will get it in a PM.

BTW, Is this the one in Woodside, Queens with the Weatherflector sunshades? It is in the Auto Trader for $22,999.
