:alone: I took the Marauder back to the dealer the week before last with the smoke on start up problem and the fact that their tech that changed the ddm--- driver door module, broke the switch plate on the drivers door and it needed to be fixed, as it was kind of hanging on the door panel. They called me at home and said that they were going to do an oil consumption test, which means that they would change the oil and mark the dipstick after filling it up with oil and fix the switchplate. I said OK. They called me the next day and said the car was ready so I went to pick it up after work. They gave me all the paperwork, and a bill for 30 some dollars for an oil change. Their porter brought me the car and as I was getting in, guess what, they never touched the switchplate, it was still kind of hanging there yet. I was pretty pissed by then and I just took the car home and would let the dealer liason at work deal with the repairs. I then began thinking, hmmmm, if they didn't do the plastic piece repair, maybe I should check for the mark on the dipstick. I let the car cool down and also to let the oil settle in the pan for an accurate reading. When I pulled the stick out, and checked the level, their mark was over a half inch into the oil . Think about this, how much oil from a 6 quart oil pan could you lose and the level would be at the scribed mark on the stick? Oh, by the way, they told me that a quart and a half in 1000 miles is acceptable. Any how, I marked the stick in the right spot so I'll be able to keep a truer account of oil usage. More as I get it.

Sounds like dealer behavior from the '70s. I would find a new dealer and never go back there. Good luck!

Sounds like some idiots that don't deserve your business or your money...I'd take it somewhere else...
